ok, look, there's been plenty of finger pointing, the fact is it happened. I was riding sweeper, by the time I caught the group the crash was over and done, everyone for the most part was already parked. I volunteered to go back and get a trailer and get the bikes back safely to the phillips. Rock came with me to assist & ride wingman on the way back. I have riden with Do3 in the past, though only once. I couldnt pick diesel out of a crowd but that did not matter to me, it was someone in our group that needed our help ... PERIOD.
No questions of guilt, no assessment of blame, the only concern I had during the 2-3hrs it took to get the trailer, get the bikes and get back was how folks were going to recover from this terrible accident, and lets face it all involved will have demons to overcome as a result of this in addition to the physical pains.
From the reports I heard from everyone, it seems that possibly Do3 was riding a bit harder than he should have, I wasnt there, I'm not going to insert my opinions. The one thing that seems to be the same by all accounts he low sided and diesel got caught up in it.
As mentioned previously, there is nothing to gain by asserting blame here, I am sure in time the judicial system will iron this one out.
We all have personal feelings about the incident, we have all heard tales around the hotel, I'm sure there's been plenty of other conversations about it, right now we need to focus on the injured folks and do what we can to help them get what they need, to do what we can to ensure it doesnt happen again and try to focus on the positive side, they are all alive....keep happy thoughts and prayers for the injured and lets hope they make a full recovery.
