Vid cam opinions? GoPro HD vs Contour HD

Anybody know why youtube links no longer working? Every time I try to embed it locks up the page load/preview....?

Is the LCD backpac something you have tried? It sounds like GoPro is claiming the LCD is for real time use and also sounds like they are claiming that it will fit the protective shell the cam fits in.
"Click it onto the back of the HD HERO for LCD screen convenience while filming, or just click it on at the end of the day to see what your footage looks like. Fits inside the HD Housing thanks to a patent-pending removable back door design."

Oh, good. I didn't see that. - I couldn't see how the LCD Bakpac could fit inside the housing with the door on.
The GoPro pdf is poorly worded, as it doesn't explain how it is supposed to all fit in there.
My guess is that the LCD comes with an extended back door which can be attached to the housing's door hinge.

The claim of being able to use the LCD while filming is BS: if you have it attached to your helmet/chest mount/bike, you won't be able to see it anyway!

Anyway, the LCD hasn't been released, according to the GoPro site, but it should be out soon.

GoPro HD comes with a USB charger. HOWEVER, it will pretty much charge with any phone mini-USB charger.

Yep. I charge mine by plugging it into my Xbox 360, with my PS3 charging cable.

Thanks for info and vids, Skydivr. Looks like you are moving at a good clip on the bike and the sound is excellent. The sky diving vid is amazing. Gotta do that some day when I have more money for another expensive hobby. ....then I won't be able to afford my life insurance!

The LCD Screen is an accessory that is supposed to replace the back door/battery, but has not been released yet. It would come in hand for aiming, and a quick playback check to see if you have the camera aligned correctly and that it's actually ON.

On another subject: If you have had your life insurance for 2-3 years and THEN start skydiving, they can't cancel it. I started jumping long before trying to get life insurance, and you are correct it's near impossible. However, I qualify for VGLI and they don't have a hazardous sports or war clause.

I still have editing issues and probably will until i get a WIN7 Machine. I'm not very astute with Premier Elements.
