How many of you race on a regular basis? Not street racing. Real racing. Places were you pay to race and they MAKE you wear a helmet. I'm drag racing (cages) right now, not driving currently, but working on that. If you don't like that, too bad. Do you race anything? Do you compete in anything? Past or present. Or are you a street jet, self-proclaimed professional?

I race 125tm/Pavasi Shifter Kart (CRG)in Sprints and Road Racing. Six speed, water cooled, front disks, etc. Dangerous, fun and expensive. Yes people die, motors blow, and the envelope get ripped. Bussa' is more of the same. Hope you get it. *LA owners* dont forget 6917 Melrose on Sat. 10-02-99, 2:00-3:00pm. Hope to see you there.(Stir Crazy).

Currently just do a lot of track days with the Busa.

Also currently race Formula 2000...Ford 2 litre open wheelers. Informal group rental events only.

In the past have done a lot of sanctioned street modified and stock dragging, sanctioned flat tracking, ice racing and scrambles.

No I'm not racing a Busa but I'm thinking about it.I have its little brother a 96 GSXR 750,and the bike has been bullet proof so far.

...I wish I could say something like that...I did go to a Kieth Code class once...they didn't award me a Grand Prix contract at the end, but I didn't crash...I know with more track time I could get faster, but how fast can you go in the street? Is the Busa a race bike? "Street Raceing" is a craft all its own and has a (proud?) tradition of its own that stretches across generations and decades...knowing where and when and "how much" is as much a part of it as raw skill...(note to self...NOT the NJTPK!) Good luck drag raceing the crates, its RACEING! To me the greatest race of all is the Ilse of Man TT...now thats raceing! When I ride hard I try to race the road, my self, and the clock...the other bike(s) are just "extra". (I just keep repeating this) I already go as fast as I "dare" and yes, it is much slower than I might dare on the track...thats good, right?

This year I ran NHRA Division 7, the Sears/Craftsman E.T. series, NMRA, and many track days at local tracks.

Not to mention any money races I could get my hands on!

I race a 2 Litre Lola Sport 2000 in ACRL Pro series & SCCA Nationals. Thinking about switching to Formula Atlantic next year. I've never road raced a bike but I definately want to give it a try.

Yea I race.I race in the FL CCS road racing series.Matter of fact I'm racing at Daytona in 3 weeks.
