Well it finally happened....

While there were many guesses none were correct. On Thusrday when I originally posted this I had just finished my last college exam. I wanted to share this with you all but I know how the picture police are around here so I didn't want to say until I could put up a pic. So heres a pic of me and my dad after graduation.

And to think, Blanca wanted to shut this down!

Here you go!

What branch (MOS)?

You've probably been schooled on this, but as green 2LT you'll get a ribbing; stand your ground, don't take shiz from anyone (tactfully) or they'll make you their b--ch. Listen to your NCOs, there's a lot of knowledge in those stripes.

The color of the background stripes on the hat, shoulderboards and wrist is INFANTRY BLUE, not to mention the crossed rifles insignia; different colors for different branches...

You been to Airborne/Air Assault/Ranger school yet GAboi? GO get you some street cred; you'll need these three MINIMUM as an Infantry Officer...oh yea, and if you can get Pathfinder...that a good one to have also...

HOOAH!

I do not have any of those schools yet. I do have dates already for ranger school. 3 days after IOBC graduation is my report date for ranger school. I will request Airborne, Air Assault, Pathfinder while at IOBC and see if I can pick up the EIB that way I can have the four badges and the tab when I get to my unit.

Crap, you need to be Airborne before Ranger! That way you get to JUMP in, rather than WALK into your final FTX! And when do you graduate IOB? Winter Ranger sux!

They wont give me Airborne first. OBC ends at the end of January and Ranger starts the first of Febuary. I think that there will be a bunch of "legs" (not jumping) at Ranger school. The dates are based on IOBC start dates, basically everybody that graduates on time with said "x" start date will start Ranger school on said "y" date. I would like to jump into the different places but from what I'm told it will not look good being a leg but it cuts down the potential for injury during training.
