My opinion is this: Who really cares who won as long as your having fun. I am pretty positive a lot of Busa's have beat the 10 before and vise versa. Take it to the strip and make a few runs with him there. So I will say this again, a while back in superstreetbike mag they raced the Busa against the Gixxer 1000 and they both had the same mods done. When all was said and done the busa beat the Gixxer by a few tenths of a second, time and time again after several runs down the 1/4 mile by the same rider. So yeah it is possible to get beat by a 10? shoot its possible to get beat by a 600. Really the only way to prove you busa is faster then his 10 is to beat him a few dozen times at the dragstrip.

well well well im am sorry about the problem i caused here!didnt know all the problems with trolls,but believe it or not i dont mess with these computers but everyone tells me the internet is the place for the answers so i tried it.guess i should have done more reserch.anyway i just got back from the shop and man they got me good!!!!when my brother went in for his service work he got a little more than a oil change.he got a pc3,custom map,and a bmc filter.we are well none at this shop and this was the plan from the begining and the mechanic and the guys were all in on it.my bro got me good!!!but thats ok.what comes around goes around!!i look forward to reading things here and i will be more careful the way i go about things!i think im kinda hook on this site so if i talk to much just let me know and i will just read.

To be honest, when I first read your post I was unbiased enough to read with an open mind, unlike some on this site. I mean, hey, it could happen. As you continue your replies though I find myself leaning more and more toward you being a troll. You have avoided certain replies like the plague and danced around some direct questions that would have proved your validity.
This last reply topped it off for me. Sure, maybe a PC w/good map and a BMC filter might net a couple of hp but you come across like you caught your brother using NOS or something and turning the 10R into an even bigger fire breather than it already is. I am not going to say that the 10R will smoke a busa stock for stock with equal riders. I don't know the answer to that and neither does anyone else here unless they've raced both bikes themselves back to back under controlled conditions, like the busa vs 12 test done by Sport Rider (which could still be biased or have variables). What I do NOT believe is that a 10 with nothing more than a PC/map and filter will just flat out walk the dog on a busa given equal rider skill.
My honest opinion, which is worth what it cost you here, is that the bikes are likely so close that rider skill would make a MUCH bigger difference in racing than a pc/map & filter ever would. So at this point I'm joinin' the bandwagon. You're either a troll and you're talkin' out of your butt, or you can't ride, or more specifically race a bike as well as your brother. Given your replies so far I'm leanin' toward the troll thing now...

does your dealer have a dyno to run it on?
did your dealer take it out and put it through a good test with some high speed roll on's and some quarter mile runs ?
if you thought your loss was due to your bike not running right maybe the dealer wasnt the best place to determine this . i am not saying all dealers but many or even most that i have delt with dont know there azzzz from there elbow . there is a good chance this dealer didnt check your bike out very thouroghly.
just a thought
i would bring it to a good tuner with a dyno and get a good dyno tune while you are there .

I am absolutely willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Just like any great relationship, TIME will always tell. If he's looking for real answers, he will surely find them here. If he's a simple troll, that will show itself too.

First, Fairlane I am by no means an expert or even a pro when it comes to riding and mods for these bikes, but I have been reading and participating on the site for a while. What I am hearing is that most members here are thinking "troll" in the house and you continue to enforce that thought. If you really are looking for info and support as a Busa owner, stay around, participate in some of the threads, let the other members get to know you a little better. If you on the other hand you are a "Troll", please do me a favor.. LEAVE. I log on daily to read about experiences, mods, issues, etc by a group of riders that really don't care if you own a Busa or not, just be honest.
Second, WWJD your story was great. It made me realize the relationship with my Bro is a great one. He is younger and yes we don't get along all the time, but when we get together on our bikes (mine the Busa, his VTX1800) and cruise the roads together, everything is good. Thanks.

Fairlane....didn't see if you posted how much the two of you weigh.
The two bikes are so close, that rider weight will make a huge difference.
Stick the exact same rider on each bike, and they will be within a few feet of each other.
Nuther thing is that hp ratings vary quite a bit from Busa to Busa......low hp bike will pull around 148-152 hp.....high will pull around 154-158..maybe a hair more....that would be a difference of 10 hp or more from low to high.
Same goes for the 10, or any bike for that matter....they are not all exactly the same hp.
If yer bike makes 148 hp......that 10 at say 155 with an equal weight rider is gonna pull on ya, especially if you weigh a little more than your brother.
The thing about racing is that no two races, riders, or bikes are the same.....makes for vastly varying outcomes for every race and cicrcumstance.
Not a person on this planet can say with 100% certainty that their bone stock Busa will walk a bone stock 10 or vice versa.....there are just too many variables, to be able to guarantee the outcome of a Busa/10 race!!
