HA! He doesn't ride a Hayabusa, as far as I know... he used to write for Cycle World and Road & Track magazines... pretty famous for his writing style. He's a founding member of the Slimy Crud MC and the Slimy Crud run.

Put the new wheel dust seals in and rear sprocket on, mounted the wheels, put in new Ebc HH Extreme Pro front brake pads, cleaned the Sprint air filter, and changed the spark plugs.
Also swapped the front plastic fender for a Moto Composits Technology's real carbon fiber fender, and it's over a pound lighter, lol.
The Vortex rear sprocket is 8/10 of a pound lighter than stock, and the 520 3D chain is a half pound lighter.
The Vortex front sprocket and titanium nut also save a few more grams.
But, a pound and a half of rotaing mass gone is a plus.
Carbon fiber wheels and lighter rotors will be the next big mod, and this bike has already lost alot of weight.
Now it's on the lift ready for ceramic transmission bearings and a clutch.

Wow sixpack that is being taken seriously. It‘s the first time I see your Gixxer is a white one, is the rest of the bodywork rapped, painted or real carbon?
Very nice and clean working space

Thankyou sir
I have more lights and plans for my work area, just not enough time to get to it all, lol, too many projects.
Yes, the Gsxr is factory white.
I hit a deer on it a couple years ago, I didn't go down, but it destroyed all the fairings except the tail.
These fairings on it now are aftermarket, and the 'carbon fiber' is a hydro-dipped finish that's been clear coated.
The 'carbon fiber' front tank cover is the same, plastic, as is the factory white one(not on bike).
The only real carbon fiber on the bike is the M4 muffler sleeve, the new Moto-CT front fender, and CRG levers.
My friend had wrapped the white/actual gas tank with carbon fiber print vinyl to match, which he peeled last week(obviously, lol) and says he's going to chemical strip the white paint, hand brush the aluminum, and matte clear the tank soon, we'll see.
