Lol... Yup, looks like a coil over spring, however the only company that used to wind them and paint them red like that was Eibach. Actually might be a quality spring however useless here.

I hope he gets his money back or the correct springs soon!

same thing happened to me. those are coil over springs. mine werent as small, but pretty damn close. didnt know it had to have a special mounting bracket so i sent them back.
