what HP shuld 2007 model have???

The gen 1 was only rated at 170ish hp stock at the CRANK not at the tire... After drivetrain losses they are around 150ish at the rear tire stock...

160hp at the rear tire with light mods is perfectly healthy...

To many people get numbers from happy dyno's and then make everyone else wonder whats wrong if they arent putting these happy numbers down as well..

Your bike sounds fine... go ride it

Mine dynoed 158 and 96 last time. Its an 05 full yosh rs3, and a pcv and it runs like a raped ape.. Who cares ! It runs great

A stk Gen I motor(with stk exhaust) makes around 175 AT THE CRANK. I'm sure the #'s you are finding as to the Gen I "spec's" are as measured at the crank. They typically dyno 150-157ish to the wheel. Consider yourself fortunate that you are making 160 to the wheel with slip-on exhaust as most LOSE hp with the slip-ons. A PC is not gonna gain you a darn thing if your A/F is close AT WOT, which is where the dyno is measuring at. The PC CAN help your driveability considerably everywhere else though as the stk fueling is less than optimal down low and in the midrange.
The above #'s would be on a known accurate dyno with a competent operator. As has been mentioned several times above, dyno's and operators vary greatly. Also need to know if the readings you are seeing on the sheet are STD or SAE. Makes a difference.
Lots of variables...
yeah...what he said:laugh:

right, sorry for the delay guys

looking at the dynojet results it says:
marvis_043.drf - 22/05/2008 08:36:27 run type : ro run conditions: 39.56 C, 1014.68mbar, humidity:3%, din:1.03
hayabusa kn yoshi cans p/comm fully mapped
max power=160.99

thats all it basically says.
i don't know how much torque it has, but when on the 1st gear flat out it does not pull the front wheel up??? it should, i know that, even doh i am 100kg ;). the installed PC3 is not adjustable. when i turn the ignition key on it shows this green light and when i want to amend the low mid a high ranges it is not responding on pressing these buttons.
is there a problem with my busa or somebody blocked the PC so it cannot be adjusted.
in addition when i ride on her she seems like the power was lowerred down on this dynojet she has attended in 2008.

thanks

The PC can not be adjusted by just pressing buttons. IIRC, you need to be holding all three buttons down at the same time and then turn on the ignition, then release all three buttons. This allows it to be ajusted manually. BTW, ajusting the buttons is a poor way to tune your PC. Really needs a laptop/software to ajust it correctly and most benificially. Since you are unaware of all this, i would suggest you leave the adjusting to someone who has experiance w/ tuning the PC's(dyno operator using a wide band 02). No offence, but it would be very easy to make things much worse.

It will not be 175 . it should be around 160-170 with a good tune PC and pipe . and remember dynos are different and are +/-10

if the bike is indeed new to ya, i wouldnt be worried so much about hp numbers than i would be about riding it and getting used to it, not trying to bust your onions just saying a lot of people get caught up in the numbers game, and forget what they got the machine for, worry about the numbers in the winter for now have fun:thumbsup:

i get ur point alright, i am cool with this now.
i wonder now as i mentioned before. shud my devil's chariot pull the front wheel up when on throttle flat out? it's not doing this.

Even if your bike really made 175, a really good rider is gonna blow by you like it's got 100hp. Just enjoy it. You want better numbers, put a turbo on it.

scratch turbo and do nitrous lol.
but yes the elevation, temp, dyno calibrations, bike set up, rotational mass of chain tires wheels etc., will all make a difference on the dyno.

you can expect about 150 to the wheel and 160 with a mild busa and good tune.

Yeah, what they said. Granted, I'm throwing "light" upgrades at mine as well, but I know I'm not going to get to the 175 range anytime soon... Unless I can get my wife to sign off on that Stage 1 Elite system from Mr. Turbo (not trying to advertise and I am in no way affiliated with Mr. Turbo or Mrs. Turbo. Just throwing a name out there) and THEN I will get the power. But for now I'm as happy as a guy can be and I won't be able to even SEE my bike in real life for another while (in the desert). Be happy man. And if you want the wheel to pull off the ground, check your tires. :beerchug:

With 35,000 miles and all stock mine pulled 149 HP. It was at a bike night on a trailer set up they were just running the dyno, no tuning. I was kinda impressed because the numbers I found was 184 at the crank and 155 at the wheel. Figured a loss of 6 HP over a 35K mile time span wasn't too bad. I would like to find a place to tune mine close to TN or KY.
