Too late!!! LOL!!! Have fun and be careful!!!!
Not in KC!btw
it's tomorrow.
If it were me, I'd ride up in the cage with the friend and wifes with the bikes on a trailer. 1,200 miles of slab isn't worth wearing the back tire out for. And, you'll have your bike with you to ride the mountain roads. Sometimes it's about the destination, not the ride. Thanks for the response. I was thinking about riding from Orlando to Gatlinsberg Tenn. About 600 miles. I think I could do it, I have done 100+ mile days before. Broke my Busa in in three days. So I can handle the distance I think. My friend backed out and wants to ride up in the car with the girls (wives) so I have to decide if I ride with them or go up and ride by myself. Hard decision. I'd hate to be in the smokeys and not be on my bike. My wife would take a ride with me through the mountains when we get up there so I don't know if it would be worth it or not.
Not saying it didn't happen but... This is a tall order man."On the trip to Seattle, my speedo read 160+ most of the trip. I had guys telling me of tickets they got the same day on the same trip. 120 seemed slow when going thru citys. It's my guess they just didn't want to go after me because they either knew they couldn't catch me or it would be too much work to catch up "if they could"."
Riiiight....120 thru cities.....160 most of the way....riiiight....
I think a sustained 160+ ride is a little nuts! But, when I went to the AMA Championships at Brazelton (Road Atlanta) last September, I did notice that at 95ish, I was keeping up with traffic for the most part. Not saying it didn't happen but...
