What percent of riders have been 150 mph

BEEN THERE DONE THAT. I ALREADY KNOW WHAT THIS BIKE IS CAPABLE OF DOING SO MOST OF THE TIME I DON'T LOOK DOWN @ THE SPEEDOMETER.. (REAL SPEED DEMONS DON'T) ...WE KEEP OUR EYES ON THE ROAD!!

I've been 114MPH on my 1971 Honda CT90. with its low weight and solid engine, it will go supriingly fast.

On the track 140's was the highest I have gone.

On the street I have tacked out my 1k but stopped looking at the speed @ about 165-170 if you have good vents in your helmet it definitely clears the sinuses.

I got my 02 up to 176 last year, that was the fastest I have been. I got my first busa up to 155. I think 85-90% of the people on here ave broke 150

On the speedo....170 once, long straight concrete road....Busa is unreal at speed....and did 160 (speedo) over a empty bridge once......got caught on that one....cop didnt clock me but knew I was over a 100+ and boy he was mad....rightfully so....Now I wanna do 200 at the Texas Mile....its a work in progress....lol

To be honest, too many times to count. There are a lot Strait stretches here in Canada on the main highway and depending where your going there is not a car in sight, she has been sitting on the rev limiter in 6th numerous occasions.

WHAT ?????? !!!!!! ???????

You guys go around speeding ??? OMG be careful .....

Hit the limiter a few times in 6th gear. Once passing a viper haha. It really is a natural thing and happens so quick it's not like I feel like I'm pushing the limits or anything. The busa is very stable at speed, just make sure you have enough road.

150 mph that's 241 km/h so... all the time. Every single ride.
Highway cruising speed is about 250 km/h. It is fairly easy to top the Hayabusa.
Mine's de-restricted and bounces on the rev limiter in 6th with the revs over the red line.
Downside is brutal tire and fuel consumption... and a LOT of bugs on the fairings.

I know my 03 busa will do 180+ top speed on the 1/8th was 164 in 9.8 I think been a couple years and 20k miles since I tracked it but I still had 6th gear that I know...

pc3(custom maped), TRE, full muzzy, speedo healer, and more

I depend on the camera most of the time at those speeds, and have many pegs on video. Funny reading how all of us have the same/similar bike, but so many different personalities and styles of riding.

I thought a Gen 1 in sixth gear was not getting out of bed untill 160mph was indicated

Have yet to try a Gen 2

Best regards Stretch

You have to try it Stretch. I have been on a GenI and loved it, but I just can't imagine anything getting up to 190 (or more since the tach continues to rise) so smooth or quickly. I know they are limited, but my guess is not all are limited @ 186 like they say. I tried the GPS at low speeds just to see how accurate, and at 100 the GPS was @ 97, next step is to take it on a planned high speed run :grinning:

177mph on my Gen I (stock) 3 mile straight away, & bounced the rev limiter in 6th on my Gen II (modified) with 19/43 Gearing  dang GPS only said 200mph tho, I think that was as high as the Garmin read up to.

Had my '03's speedo pegged at least 300 times between '03-'08(usually once or twice every weekend, early in the AM before traffic),and that was before i added the turbo in '08.:laugh:Haven't done it in a while(moved and don't have the open stretch of road available any longer),figure i pushed my luck far too many times as it is...and the new 2011 i just got Weds. still only has 17 miles on it.

Can't wait till you get on it, and it may not sound like a turbo, but it will feel like it. I honestly think the break-in process has a lot to do with it. I varied the RPM's and never went over 5,500 until after the first service/oil change... Let us know how it does :-)

Morning Trey,

Getting ready to go out now to add to that whopping 17 miles i have on it so far.:laugh:41 degrees here at 9:30AM so doubt i'll go far, maybe just 40 or so miles.I'm varying the speed and rpms and won't run it too hard for a while yet(but i won't dog it either:laugh:).

Later bro,
Jeff

Hi Jeff FWIW, this is how I ran mine in, MPH:-
2 to 125 5500 RPM
125 to 250 6500 RPM
260 to 375 7500 RPM
375 to 600 Max for short bursts then 1st service, job done.

Have now got 2K on her.
And on the above regime, managed to stay out of Jail

Best regards Stretch :beerchug:
