what power should i expect with modded 1409 cc

I made some longer stacks from 2 sets turned , parted off , made spigot and pressed them together

Now 60mm long

I turned some prototype ones 1st they were 85 mm long, of course Airbox lid would not fit - these had good midrange power

Dyno day is next Wednesday 31st May

so we tested the long 80mm intake stacks ( which do not fir air box - as a test), mid length 60mm versus the OEM on last years engine.

long stacks made 208 hp with 124 lbft RED curve
Mid length stacks made 207.6 with 120 lbft PURPLE curve - New Current set-up

last year 205hp with 118 lbft GREEN curve

we still have a flat spot our view its the Akra 4in1 exhaust low end issue, whatever we do with fueling/ignition timing it don't improve

pity the air box cannot fit the long stacks - (Gen1 airbox if i recall is taller) as this makes power and torque improve everywhere, but at least the head mods are an improvement. Making 10 more HP mid range 6,500 and 8,000

i had a test ride last Wednesday and the in gear datalogging shows a noticeable improvement.
Bike arrives this tuesday night so will be comparing datalogging of new package, she seems to accelerate harder than the similar powered ZZR i have.
Carbon wheels help to accelerate harder.

Engine in and fired up , hoping to take the bike home and run in a few miles before dyno tune

Buy lithium battery I bought last year was dead

So I have to wait 2 weeks as shop closed for holiday

But engine is mechanically quiet with correct cam clearances
Looking forward
With a stock map and no ignition advance of fueling set up matched hp of 1406 and more torque up to 6,300 rpm made 139 hp

So much more to come

Just done 500 miles up to 6,500 rpm because that was only time - at full throttle to thst marker fueling was ok

Tomorrow afternoon on Friday 5th we complete the map

open secondaries earlier all restrictions out , advance the ignition as require etc

Just a question, are you planning on track use or road use?
I ask because I know that the UK roads are so heavily policed and speeding is so frowned upon with huge penalties how could you even experience the benefits of all the time, work and money you’ve put into this bike?
So where can you test it?
On the drag strip?
I’ve enjoyed reading this thread, a lot of info to absorb… thanks!

Not as policed as you think, there were loads more cops on the road 40 years ago
Cutbacks or more woke paperwork to fill in who knows :)

I live in a rural area and can do 160 mph + when ever I want

I have a road near us in ‘Mexico’

just looked back all my Mexico runs with data logger including yesterday

120 to 140 in 4th
Best 1406cc busa = 2.18 seconds
Best my ZZR = 2.09 seconds
1441 Busa = 1.99 seconds
at 8500 busa has 9 more HP than Zed so all is good beyond
