In all fairness, they have been pretty levelheaded about their comment and notably not as harsh as some "Suzuki" people.

Sure, there are the few that are extraordinary, but that is the way tastes are, Not everyone will like all that the others like,,, and visa vi!

Personally, I like the diversity with things in our little ole world. If everything was the same and there was never any variety we would all be riding, dressing, smelling and living the same with absolutely no difference between one person to the next.

I can't wait for this Busa to hit the showroom floors! This is going to be a lot of fun!

I own a 14 and love it!

However, when I registered here over a year ago, I intended to buy a Busa.  In the end, I decided to go with the Kaw.

Like many of you, I have watched for the last 3 years for the "all new Busa" that never came.  I am somewhat disappointed that the 08 is not "all new", but at least Suzuki finally did SOMETHING!

There are a few jerks/haters on any board, but I think most people riding the top performance bikes  appreciate the others also.

I was invited to the Austin GTG ealier this year and responded that I never bought the Busa, but had a 14 instead.  I was blown away when I got a reponse to come anyway, since I am a member of this board!

I wasn't planning to give up the 14, but that 08 blue sure looks good!

I know it's opinion, but it's amazing how a 14 owner can call a busa "ugly". Now I don't feel either bike is the most beautiful, but after 2 years the 14 still hasn't grown on me. Had kawi kept the 12r body, oh my goodness what a bike. On that note, again opinion only, it's pot calling kettle black for a 14 owner to cal a busa "ugly" and probably vice versa (opinion).

Not so bad...I like everyone that rides, no matter what you ride...it's all part of the fun to brag about how great your own ride is, how much better, faster, cooler it may be, but in the end, we all have such diverse tastes yet still ride together, help one another and all look forward to the next big thing...

Okay, old Postal is going to step out on a limb here.... I love motorcycling! I don't care what MC it is, I like them because of the passion I have for the hobby and for the sport of motor cycle racing. Now, add in the "people" factor and that makes things interesting. Let's say a guy rides up to me on a ZX-14 and starts Busa-bashing (I have had this happen several times). If this guy wants to be a jerk that is his choice. I personally am not going to lose any sleep over it because I don't have to have world-wide accptance of what I ride. I just love motor cycles. I love looking at them, riding them, taking pictures of them, building them, fixing them, etc., etc. Get my drift? What people say really doesn't matter to me. Yes, I have Harley freinds too, and they bash the heck out of "crotch rockets." So what! I have been around bikes since I can remember, and I haven't needed therapy yet (for bike issues anyway

). Love them, hate them, or whatever, I appreciate the fact that we all have our own personal tastes, and as long as you ride a MC you are cool with me.

LOL, well said Postal I agree I simply love the art of riding even if it's on a Katana (which is "the" ugliest motorcycle every created IMO LOL). I'll ride with anyone and I must say most of the guys/gals I've ridden will issue a little challenge for fun, but there is never any bashing. I feel like if someone spends their time trying to belittle another motorcycle there are some unadmitted insecurities there. That's why I feel most of the disgust with the new busa is coming from. Many are upset Suzuki didn't create a 1500 that would allow a poser to be proud when riding next to a 14. Instead they left the almost perfect body relatively unchanged and gave the busa a power boost, just enough to leave the race in the hands of the skilled.

I agree totally, but it's still amazing how much time and effort someone will spend trying to talk down something they don't own. It's like the bulley in school who picks on the small/weaker/different because inside there is something about themselves they don't like.

. I love my Busa and DON'T like the 14 . It's that simple ! Geezzzzzzzz, even with my Buddy who has a 14 (Turboed and is a Kawi Lover for 20 years) doesn't rant on bikes like this, "Mine is Better than Yours Stuff" .  I got the BEST for me, they have the best for them.

You know, i love my busa, like the new 1, will think i'll get 1 once i see in person. But Busa, 13.5, R1, Cbr, Duk, whatever. i just love to ride, and love to ride with people that love to ride. don't care what the badge on the bike reads.

I still think Suzuki rested on this. If they need to retire the name "Hayabusa" in order to break new ground, then by all means DO IT!
I really don't care what it's called as long as you make larger strides in both performance and styling. 8 years is a looooong time to come up with this.
I don't hate it, but I don't think Suzuki is working overtime.

When I was shopping for my bike, i tried out the ZX14 as well. My observations on the ZX14 were that it's a good looking bike, and it has TONS of power. The downsides, at least for me, were that I found the seat to be VERY uncomfortable. I also didn't like the way it felt in the corners.

That being said, the ZX14 is one hell of a bike, it just wasn't the bike for me. We have 2 guys in our group who ride them, and they're both very happy with what they have.

I tend to agree with what most folks here have said, it's not what you ride, its THAT you ride. Sure, we all give one another a lot of crap, like 'yeah it's not bad for a Kaw" and "man, I feel so sorry for you that you got stuck with a honda" etc... But it's all in good fun. I don't know about anyone else here, but theres no WAY im riding triple digit speeds in a group unless they are all guys (or girls) who i trust completely. If you dont trust the person and dont trust their bike, you have no business riding with them.

I love my Busa , I like the yamaha R1 , the GSXR 1k, The Honda CBR 1000 , The Ducati 999r and 1098 . And yes I have been Bashing the new Busavard cause they could have done a lot more and a lot sooner . I am seriously thinking about buying the B-KIng that thing is really growing on me . I want to wait and see what kind of after market pipes come out . I'm still keeping my Busa though . She's part of the family . AS for the new Busa maybe in a few years when there is a replacement for that Rosie O'donnell rear end and they have all kinds of after market goodies and you bandwagon jumpers are tired of them and getting rid of them cheap for the next best thing , I'll pick one up .

Hey the Folk on the ZX site are more kind to the new Busa than we WERE! We are all just Junkies for two wheels, no matter who's grills are on em! They posted better pics too!

I think what we saw is Suzuki's response to fan's desires and competition, but also a very subtle reminder that the $$$ is in the aftermarket world they can't touch and litre bikes which is why there is a continuous upgrade.

Our love of the Busa has in a sense also been the "down fall" of no serious overhaul. I don't walk in any dealers and see a new Busa for sale (other than 07's right now LOL). It has been a solid bike in sales and performance since 99' so there has really been no legitimate need for a serious overhaul.

Now we have new competition and there is enough of an upgrade that continues to make the game interesting on all ends. There will never be another motorcycle scene as it was when the Busa came out throwing Kimbo sized knock outs. The 186 cap has limited much of what can accompany a motorcycle off the showroom floor.

That being said expect a minimal response from Kawi, and so on, and so on. It's all about $$$ and the $$$ is in AMA.

I'm can't wait to see this bugga in person though!!!
