What would make you dump your Busa?

I just climbed to the top of the mountain because I didn't want to buy another bike. I already have a GEN II and I can put a turbo on it for more horse power.

I would like to see an update to the ECM so we could add a traction controll system if we wanted to.

I would consider adding a bike but it would have to be a real monster.

Seriously considered selling my '04 Busa and stepping upto a brand new Gen II but look at it this way have alot of time and money tied up in my Busa in upgrades to personalize it just the way I like it do I really want to start over again.

What would make you sell your GenII and buy a new Busa? These are my thoughts. I think I would need at least the first 3 of these:

1. New look that was sharper edged, more aggressive
2. More Horsepower and torque
3. ABS, TC - good quality ones though
4. Lighter
5. Speed shifter

Only problem is emissions are only going to get tighter so I'd be surprised if we see many more changes from the BUSA.

1) They want to keep the look similar so not seeing a big change.
2) They have given us a great platform, it doesn't take much to currently make some serious power.
3) I could see either of these but Bazzaz offers TC now if you really want it.
4) A good exhaust drops 30+ lbs. and most other mods can drop more. I don't see Suzuki doing much if any of that.
5) Possible, but again Bazzaz offers it NOW if you really want it...

Unfortunately, with the sorry state of the world economy, Suzuki is having a hard enough time as it is just staying afloat! I seriously doubt if we'll see a Gen II update for the busa or for that matter, any of their models in the near future. I'd love to see a yellow/black paint scheme and would be first in line for one, but I'm afraid that Suzuki has more important business to attend to these days.

to dump the gen2? that would be hard.

I would like to see a true 1400cc motor.

More power/torque and less weight to shut the beemer fanbois up for good and squash any doubt in anyone's mind that the busa is king.

Traction control/abs would be nice indeed, but only if they are very good and reliable systems... and dont add too many $ to the cost. Maybe have two models, one that has TC and ABS and one that doesnt.

Much smaller exhaust cans!

You might change your mind if you rode one. I took one out for almost an hour on the twisties, and it was awesome! It is lighter and quicker than the 07 ZX-10 I had, and had the low end grunt most all litre bikes do not have. The speed shifter was a great plus, and the brakes were better than any I have tried.

I wouldnt sell it and buy a new Busa, But i would like to add a BMW 1000 to the stable because it has everything you mentioned and is one awesome bike. You will need to ride one before you understand what i am talking about.

You mean change my mind and want to get the Beemer now!? Because I'm well aware how awesome the bike is!
I've been talking it up since I 1st heard about it. Now if only I could get one
