What's Wrong With The Sport Soccer?

wat a surprise to see Ronaldo as the worst diver of them all. he's such a complete and utter pansy. he's a embarrassment to the sport and I agree if you want to pretend ur hurt wen absolutely nothn happened to you u shud be banned for the entire season and if u do it again banned for life!

who ends a game in a tie? that is so gay! either go to sudden death or PK's. we both won....yayyyyy! so stupid! and whats up with US soccer team uniforms? their the ugliest uniforms in the entire world cup. they look like France NOT the USA. where are stars or somthn. smh rant over....

Isn't soccer sort of gay anyway? I only invite my gay friends over when I need to decorate a room, cook soomething french, or watch soccer! :hide:

That was so wrong on so many levels! I actually love gay people, most vote liberal...........

I'm still trying to figure out why we even have this thread on the oRg.

I suspect the OP is a closet soccer fan :hide:

lol I am a soccer fan totally! just think the sport needs to be played by men vs. little pansies that flop around like fish outta water wen someone bumps into them.....

its only been the last decade or so that its tuned into this. they use to play HARD. now they think if they put on acting performances they can get free shots on goal. thats pathetic!

and the tie thing yes is GAYYYYYYYYY!:moon::rofl:

I'll admit, the attempts at getting a foul called gets old, and they do it more and more if the games go in to OT, but I've seen that crap in boxing, in football, shoot, isn't there a bit of drama and acting in every sport? If someone can get a 30 second breather and maybe something more out of an "injury", why wouldn't they try? I don't like it, but it's rampant in most sports that I watch...I don't let it ruin the sport, and I am not out there, running non-stop for 90 minutes, so what do I know? :dunno:

drama is in every sport for sure...soccer just has more then its fair share...btw half of the usa team isnt even usa....most are foreign same as mls...

^^^^ Your right Viperwhitebusa!!!! And the damn head coach of TEAM USA is GERMAN who used to play for team GERMANY ???:laugh:

So much for the Ole Red White & Blue huh??

We suck so bad @ a sport but sooo desperately wanna be "Cool" like the rest of the world that we had to import foreign players and a foreign head coach to even be remotely competitive.........:bs:

Many of our Olympic teams are coached by non-US born citizens; don't hear complaints about that...

My heritage isn't AlabamWestVaColoradoQuerque...my family started overseas like most of us  and I'm with a guy whose parents are US citizens, were born in Romania and Cuba, but fled their countries for a better life here. I guess if they'd opted to join US soccer years ago, you'd hate 'em...that's too bad because they're proud US citizens today.

Some of our current US team members are made up of those with dual membership, some of which were born to US servicemen and were raised overseas. Their second language might be English, but I don't consider them any less qualified to represent than anyone else. You'd also find that there are American-born players playing for foreign teams. Nearly every single soccer team has a similar make-up to ours, with multi-national players on each team, with the only exception being Germany.

Last time I checked, most sports are just like this - we have foreign born players in every sport here in the US, the NFL, MLB, NHL...why should soccer be any different?

arent ALL of our ancestors immigrants.... I don't see too many Native Americans playing soccer these days.....

and look at baseball. 30% of them come from south america but I don't see anyone pointing that out when teams win the world series and labeled WORLD champions.

Well, I thoroughly enjoyed watching the US vs Belgium game yesterday, even though we lost...very excited for the kid that scored our only goal!! How amazing for him, at the age of 19, to be the youngest ever on our team to play in a World Cup game and then to reignite our chance to possibly even things up.

Love it or hate it, I don't care - I've really enjoyed watching my first World Cup games ever this year and can't wait for the next time we're in 'em!

and one of the best goals in all the world cup this year. that was an amazing shot.

Being a hockey fan it's painful to start watching soccer, the speed of game is at a snails pace, the players are pathetic wimps, they are touched and fall down in agony hoping for a yellow card. Not like hockey where you blink and miss a great shot, you check someone into the boards and tell them "Good Morning..." What I don't understand is off sides... if an offensive player is behind the defense then shame on the defense for not doing their job. that rule single handedly makes the game boring by removing lots of scoring possibility. People want to see scoring not a zero to zero tie...

Yep, kind of makes you wonder what he could have done had he been in the game for the first 90 minutes...
yea and jus think he prob has 4 more world cups to compete in. freakn 19 wow! I was a sr in HS wen I was 19 lol. can't imagine being in Brazil on spring break playing for the US in the world cup. geez talk about pressure.

yea but hockey players switch lines often to get breaks. soccer players don't get that opportunity and they run a hell of a lot further and more often then hockey players do and no hockey player ever runs... they jus glide....lol but I agree big wimps and the tie thing is pathetic!
