Amsoil MCF (10W40), or MCV (20W50)....either one can be used. Me, I'm possibly making a change to the thicker for the Summer. Interested to see what the change in overall performance is.....Amsoil with an EAoM 109 filter does the trick.
I know some here use Redline, some use Mobil 1, and others use Amsoil. Take your pick, of any of these three, you'll be fine. Score yourself a EAoM 109 filter, and you just can't do any better than that...Really !!
I used to use R/P but after some reading I think Amsoil has it wipped. You can read their tests (ams) and make your own informed deceision. (Usual disclaimers apply; I dont sell it or profit from it, and dont care if you use it or not) However it ain't cheap I'm paying 8.50 per quart re last buy.
The reason I use Redline at $12 a qt is after using other oils in the ProMod 2000+ HP Big Block I help work on we used to eat up main bearings every other weekend, after moving to Redline oil in that motor we use a set of bearings for a complete season now. That is enough of a reason for me to use Redline in everything I own.
