RJ enjoyed the little run . Random photos of today. Worked a little magic on the shift shaft after making sure it was straight on the certified granite

Dandy day out there and all week the weather looks decent...

Got out for a ride and on my way back went into a series of chicanes, coming out of one going uphill and into a right sweeper I came upon a dead racoon with about 8 turkey vultures surrounding it....

I had to come to a stop so they could sort themselves out...there were turkey vultures trying to take off in all directions-some right over my head with their wings flapping on my helmet

It was kind of surreal.

Turned out to be a decent day so...I donned my gear, saddled up and headed towards a few country roads.

On the 2 lane road which serves as a hiway around these parts, I came upon a couple slow(er) moving cars, one of them was a Mazda sports car of some sort. I passed them both and the driver of the sports car must have taken exception to being passed because he soon passed the other car and came barreling down on my six.

He couldn't pass me due to oncoming traffic so he impatiently sat behind me for a bit. I came upon the country road I was looking for and turned left onto it. Strangely, this Mazda turned left onto it as well and was right on my arse.

We came to the first of many sweeping corners and I could see he was getting aggressive behind me. I thought to myself that it's time to lose this guy. I dropped it down to 2nd, grabbed a handful of "go fast bar" poured some steam to the "Busamotive" and off I went....I could see him slowly disappearing when I looked into my mirrors from time to time.

When the first longer straight came up, I got a lot silly with the throttle and lit the 'ol gal up, that was the last I saw of the Mazda car, I hit some of those corners at warp speed and really found out this particular bike is well set up for just this sort of riding.

I did scrub in the PR5s....not a lot of BBQ sauce is needed for these chicken strips. I could tell where I spent a bit of time leaned over by the scrub patch right over the chicken strip.

only chance of hitting a hundred on the chicken hawk was dropping it from an airplane.
good bang for the buck though :D
I had a friend who had a Nighthawk S 750 and he used to try and run me down when I was on my RD400 Daytona...that bike used to really piss him off as he could never catch me. I had it, a 750 pop up Katana and a GSXR750 at the same time and the little RD always put the biggest smile on my face.
