Who Rode Today?

Had a good ride on the weekend, 1000kms in two days, Sunday morning was rain and only 6C so we made sure we were close to home when we found a hotel.
It was a beautiful ride in northern Ontario. But the Panagale rider felt like he has something to prove to me. One time on a 160km/h sweeper he felt the need to pass me on the inside of my lane then cross in front of me to take my line. I told him to eff off on the Sena and he calmed down after that. I don’t know about you guys but I have nothing to prove when I ride, and don’t need that. Damn sexy bike tho. Too bad the rider is an idiot.

Glad you made it back thawed out...that must have been a chilly ride for certain.

The Panagale rider must have been doing a little d!ck measuring...and dumb to do that with the chance of wet leaves being on the road...

It’s an amazing car. 1 of 1 all stock, made top flight the first time it showed. Silver on silver auto a/c car.

They are getting rare and sadly losing value due to the generational gap.

Us old(er) guys like them but the "whipper-snappers" think a Civic with a fart can is better...:(

No pictures for me either (no surprise for that) but I got out on a quick ride to visit my old army buddy. The weather was decent and the bike loved the cool air...it literally jumps when you give the throttle some loving..

My "spidey senses" were on queue though, I noted a silver SUV ahead of me and refrained from catching up and over-taking it as it was going only a touch above the speed limit...when we stopped at a set of lights, I saw the silent partner and ghost lights...

perfect weather...........zero wind......127 miles:D

Rode up to 9,000‘ to the Tioga Pass inside the Park trying to get above the smoke but, no luck. There were several lightning strike fires and smoldering areas right along the road. Lots of Park Ranger/fire fighters around. Saw a few rock climbers (can you see them) two up top and two midway, and a great looking owl. I rounded a corner and he was just sitting there in the road. As I pulled closer he flew to a nearby post and posed for pics. Their head swivels almost 360 degrees!

Got in 243 smiles! The Z ran great. Really liking this bike for the mountains. Oh, the fuzzy pic is a shot of the Sierras from 3,000’ looking north. Can’t see them but they're there!

Got in 196 Smiles today just loafing along for the most part. Beautiful day for a change, blue skies and hardly any smoke except to the East. Headed into the Park on a loop riding thru the tall and uncut just below 7,000’ and then circling NW down into the foothills where the rolling hills are dotted with Oak trees like huge bushy shrubs. The Merced River is very very low but gorgeous anyway. Very clear! YNP should really be called YROCKNP. Big and small, they’re everywhere. All were under the glacier some time back. :) Didn’t see any climbers today

. While stopped at my shortcut from hiway 120 to 49 thru a lil burg called Greeley Hill, a 30K Harley bagger came by heading east and the rider had a custom painted helmet and was wearing a Hells Angels cut. A while later I was headed west and a blue and silver Gen 2 Busa filled my mirrors (on a day when I’m riding the Z). As I was just loafing along this narrow rough two lane with tight corners and elevation changes, I moved over and he came by, no wave, nothing. A couple minutes later before he filled my mirrors, I heard a very loud red Ducati coming up from behind. I moved over and he blasted by, full racing leathers, hanging off in the curves. No wave, nothing. A couple minutes later a stripped down Harley with a nose fairing came up and he also passed with no acknowledgement. At the chevron station in Greeley Hill the Ducati rider was just topping off as I pulled in, right across from him. No head nod, no acknowledgement that I was even there. Didn’t used to be that way.

Went for a blast with a few mates last weekend, the guy on the ZX is an English man, he tried to stick with the Suzukis but no chance lol.

Went out today on DRZ, the Waimak river is in flood after a lot of rain in the mountains so river crossings on my bike were out of the question lol.

The guy on the ZX must have just been being polite....

Must suck being a new rider and having to put a big "L" on the bike....
