Tiger is running and decent pace from west Texas. Still a little ways from home .
204 miles in 2 hr 42 min through down town San Antonio. Will see if it restarts here in a minute.
FYI the hair dryer got it hot enough to start the bike . Triumph electronics are difficult.

A descendant from the evil Lucas electronics perhaps??

You'd have been there already if you were on RJ........just saying.....

Rode the Yamaha...as neither Suzuki works:D(but the gsxr does run!)
I did get these for the gsxr though...to go with the rest of the parts.

Almost done rewiring the DRZ, and ordered a new battery for it.

My friend talked to MooreMafia again at the weekend.
As I've mentioned several times, this 2018 gsxr1000R made 147 whp.
MM flashed and tuned it after I put in a Sprint filter, velocity stacks, and a full M4 exhaust...now making 187whp.
Well, if that wasn't enough(it never is), he was told to bring it back for an E85 tune, and he will be able to toggle between that and a 91-93 octane tune(using Bazazz I think).
That will take it to 200-205whp!!!
Yes please.
Still waiting on the fairing kit to be finished, and they are saying 4-6 weeks shipping.
So, sometime in the new year it'll go back to MM...and come back with another 15ish hp and couple lb feet of torque.
We can't wait!

Once I finish my DRZ I'm selling or trading it for for another 1000cc something too.

Hard to believe that a filter, stacks and exhaust gets you 40 more ponies.
Yes and no.
Consider most of it was already in there, just factory detuned for emissions.
MM said those before and after numbers are normal for the late model gsxr's.
The difference most definately feels like 40 hp too, it went from a slug to a rocket.
It would hurt a piped and tuned gen2's feelings...badly.

Went for a 4 hour blast on the DRZ yesterday...
checkout the lush countryside goin' on here, this is NZ in late spring....

below is the entry point to Lee's Valley . . . a farming valley with sheep stations and vast expanses of lush farm paddocks.

below . . . I played around doing hill climbs and descents, avoided falling off too!

Felt the need for speed so I took the Busa for a nice cool 146 miler. Found a different section of straights today lined with orange groves for miles! I’d love to have an orchard full of apple trees, oranges and almond trees. Temps were in the 50s but the sun was out and the sky was blue. Rode a tad faster most everywhere so that explains my barely 35 mpg. Took over $19 to fill 4.156 gallons of 89. Think of this, on a simple 300+ mile day ride, gas alone could cost over $40! Imagine the fuel cost for a short tour, say maybe 8 days round trip around 3,500 miles. Plus food and lodging. Sheeeit! At these prices it will take around $80 to fill up my new car’s 17.5 gallon tank. @ 25 mpg that’s about 400 miles per tank. I got much less with my caddy. Saw only two sport bikes together and two solo Harley riders. Roads were empty.

Me .. Me .. Me .. Me! I did
First ride since March. First ride since being allowed out again.
Took a while to get into the swing. Still a bit rusty.

Lots to catch up on this season.
Bike is running sooo strong after some work.
Threw the camera on after last fuel stop before the bendy stuff.
This is what I love about this bike. Can cover great distances with ease and still capable of being thrown around to a degree. Love it so much

New Brembo rear caliper has great feeling and control
Last outing in OEM red/silver colour. New fairings arrive this week after a 4 month wait
