Who Rode Today?

Don't know but will research...maybe it was only the cop trying to avoid me buying a detector...

Found this, there is such a thing as a radar detector, detector...

Got out for a bit today temp was about 64 degrees. Had two deer try to race me along the roadside. It is funny but I usually will have a dog chase me on a random back road but didn’t see a single one today. Took a few pics some timber getting cut, streams and the bike of course. It is cloudy and overcast but felt great while riding.

It’s all about the ride, enjoying each aspect of it, seeing some good rpm and curves and returning home safe, mission accomplished.

I miss having a full exhaust but I also like being able to be in stealth mode riding around and through these small municipal towns w/o drawing attention but eventually I will add one more so for the weight reduction decisions-decisions

@Yellow09

Wikipedia:

A radar detector detector (RDD) is a device used by police or law enforcement in areas where radar detectors are declared illegal.

Radar detectors are built around a superheterodyne receiver, which has a local oscillator that radiates slightly. It is therefore possible to build a radar-detector detector, which detects such emissions (usually the frequency of the radar type being detected, plus about 10 MHz for the intermediate frequency). Some radar guns are equipped with such a device.

However, like any device that detects stray emissions from electronic equipment, it is easily defeated by using adequate shielding.

Did you check out the links I included in the post to Wuzza?

I had an awesome ride today!
Met my mate at the usual meet-up spot, 40kms from my place, and rode to his friend's holiday home on the Peninsula at a lovely wee bay with only a few other houses and very few people.
Native NZ birds fluttering around, perfect weather, warm, really magical spot . . .
220kms in total.
here's a few pics . .

Here in Aus there is a market for some of the detectors that are block all external emissions. Most of the big name units have models that are completely undetectable.
The laser style jammers are sold here as parking sensors as they can work in this mode.

I've often thought of getting one, but we here are getting more of the laser units as opposed the radar style which makes it a limited investment.

Mine is a Beltronics STi and is undetectable, but it is totally legal to have a radar detector here in NZ, and the cops have no need to be trying to detect my detector... man that’s getting confusing lmao!
I would feel naked without it now, it has been an extremely valuable tool in my arsenal to protect me from unnecessary tax theft by the rozzers.
As for the laser guns the cops use, by the time you get the signal . . . It’s too late. And they work in pairs with another cop in a chase car or a cop parked up 500 meters up the road and he waves you down so he can issue you an invitation to pay an infringement notice.
My Bel STi picks up laser but as I said, it’s too little, too late.

They are using laser detectors more and more around here. And I'm told by a cop buddy of mine that they have detector....detectors....in most of their cars.

So...I pick the spots I go fast very carefully.....

That looks like a great house to live in with that view.
