Dont get the whole busa's better than the 14 and 14 better than busa thing either.
Both bikes are great!

Oh I have, many times. It more of a true test of the bikes power delivery and not the rider's skill level for proper launching from a standstill. Its also a helluva lot easier on the drivetrain.
 
I respect the 14's and their owners, they are bike fans like me, but bottom line - if the Busa isn't the best, then why is EVERYONE wanting and trying to beat it?? To me, that shows who's boss. Everyone wants to try to de-throne the king... right??

I blew by a 14 just a couple of hours ago. It was in drag trim too. He never had a chance. I was on my way to a dotors appt. Him, well, probaly on the way to the track just a few miles down the road and I whupped him good too ...................

Err, Does it matter if it was in the bed of his Chevy?

Over at SH.Org they (some own both bikes) say it takes a 1397 to run the same times as a stock 14 ? I wish I could afford both.............Buuuuuuuuuutttt, if I could than I'd buy a Gixxer 1K, instead of the 14 !!!

Yeah, my bike is stock. Well, except for the modified headers, aftermarket pipes, PC tuning, and different filter. Oh wait, my bike isn't stock at all. It's modified.

I got smoked by a ZX-14 last night on my Busa.

But then the Alarm went off. I was so glad that nightmare was over. Glad it was just a dream!

The 08 ZX14 is working with a little less power than the 06 and 07 so get clean shots and watch your background.  Oh yeah!  The ZX14 frames are still made in China!

Noticed how that controversy has died down now? There aren't as many trolls on the board with crazy Kaw stories about ZX-14's beating Busas anymore either. The 08 Haybusa came out and the ZX riders were like wait til the 08 Zx-14 comes out it's going to own the 08 Busa....Well ? What happened?

I don't know from experience (of seeing he two run together) but I would have to think a 1397 would just murder a stock 14. I've run a 1397 and it was not pretty
