Why Busa ?

I am susprised that this one hasnt been hit on yet:

<span style='font-size:17pt;line-height:100%'>Torque</span>

Lots and lots of it with a curve as flat as a pancake.
<span style='font-size:17pt;line-height:100%'>BINGO!</span>

Give that man a Mtn. Dew.

Beat me to it man!!

That and comfort plus stability.

I'd love to have a 1K. But not in place of the Bus.

I bet your are very young guy

Not that this has anything to do with my thread but I actually am a young man. 27 to be exact however I am not a track guy nor a stunter. Just like bikes always have.

I personally felt more confident on the GSXR. I felt more comfortable on the bus. For the type of riding I like the busa is mor my style. Now having said that there is one down fall, I am only 5'4, 165lbs.[/QUOTE]
Honestly, if I was 27 and 165 pounds guy I`d buy a Gixxer.

and this has something to do with age. average Busa owner age is about 40...
It`s like a Buick not for teenagers....

I know... you guys gonna kill me for that analogy....

well for one Vic,
people seem to judge sport riders on so called crotch rockets.
(young punks) basically
Do they look at you this way as well ?

You already assumed I was a young man because I liked the 1000. So even you judge me and don't even know me. Why do people do that?

I assumed your age not because you asked about Gixxer.
It was something else....
I did not judge you, you are mistaken about it.

I don`t give a shid how people look at me.
I`m 6 and 240LB I`m to damn big for gixxer.

with only 75lb weight difference you would be quicker then I am...

You have to gain a little mo confidence, don`t you think.

I did not say I cared what people think. My point was to make you relize what you did , which was judge me.

Sure !

what was it then ?

Did I said that you yound and dumb? I did not...
Do you have a problem with you age?

I am not gonna post it on public board...

I`m done talking about it.

If you have something to say, please use private messages.

I've owned both and since I'm not the canyon carving expert that a lot of you guys are, the busa and it's comfort over the Gixxer has me glad I made the change last year! 200 to 300 mile days are a breeze, even for an old guy like me!

At 5.4 and under 200lbs. You will be better off with the 1000. + you will control it better too.

You gotta understand . Most people here at around the 200lbs + and around 6 feet tall .  I went thru the same thing when I bought my busa. I actually even took 2 pictures in riding position. One next to the busa and one next the 06 1000. I gotta admit . The 06 gsxr looks very athletic and more modern but just didnt feel right.

One a side note, take comfort into consideration . Otherwise, you will be pulling over all the time for a wrist/back stretch even in your 20ese .

The busa is an all around bike. It attracts an all around crowd.
Adrenaline junkies but mostly mature folks.

GSx_R hmmmmmmmmm NUF SAID>

The Busa makes a better all around bike. Also if you ride alot and go any distances the 1000 isn't so friendly.

I myself went into the dealer to buy an 03' all green ZX12 and walked out the door with Busa paperwork(they had to order my blue/silver).

I'm an old guy and came of my zrx for this ride...the busa was still comfortable for me like the zrx but more sporty and a much better bike for long rides...it is a much more refined bike than the z and way more sexy....like others have stated, the torque is awsome and easy to lay down on the twisties to so all and all I think it was a step in the right direction.....

This is one of those"if you have to ask"? type questions.

Some people like beer , Some people like Scotch!

Two different (albeit equally speedy) paths to enlightenment.
