i love how you guys talk $hit because you have a busa.lol i bought the 10r to drag race.the busa is the better drag racing bike but i wanted something different so if a busa pulls up to me at a light i dont want to get smoked. if i dont win who cares its a busa it supose to win but you guys would be surprise on how fast the zx is.i was going sell it this year and buy another busa but i decided to keep it. the busa i got now me and my buddy own.its in my name and stays at my house and i paid cash for it and sold it but its still mine until he pays it off from me.the zx10r i have i decided to put a 40hp nitrous in it and i bought a fast fi fuel mixture with it well that pour so much fuel in the motor that i had to go up to a 80-90hp jet.i didnt want to but i got use to it. i run about 20-30 hp jet most of the time i just have to disconnect the fuel mix. i just bought cam and thin head gasket yesterday.i'm 29 year old been riding since i was 9-10 my first bike was a RM50 i had a cbr600f3 and a cbr900rr '99 before my busa and zx10r.i love to race bikes. i never been to the track yet but i do alot of street racing.
So you have a " stand alone " engine management system on board? I have one for my stang and it is a " F*A*S*T, Fuel,Air,Spark, and Timing system.for when the 2 turbos make their way into the engine bay,right now I rely on an autologic chip tuned by one of the best in the country Randy Haywood.Anyway,back to the bike! Being stretched and all, how does it hook up out on the street?
 
it hooks up great when it is warm out and i lower the tire pressure but if i dont lower the pressure i will spin the rear tire all the way through 4th gear. i took it out the first time to test and hit the nos and spun the rear tire so much i flew up in the air and when the tire kicked back i flew up and hit my chin on the gas tank and ended up in a field.lesson learned dont the nos hit it in 1st gear.im going buy a better tire for it.that should help out alot.when it was stock i couldnt keep the front down so that why i extended it. the busa is heavy and that extra weight helps so much when launching it.plus has alot more torque. i bought the zx10r because i love the look of it and i use to do alot of stand up wheelies.do you run nos?

for real i pull on the busa just a little with out the nos not bad but i do sometimes.it really comes down to the launch. both bike are even.i cant tell which one is faster. they are both side by side all the time i have raced them.now ,if i hit the nos i will leave the busa.the busa has the same thing done but no nos and the zx10 has an airshifter which help out hugh and is gear alot. the busa i went +5 in the rear and the zx went -1 in the front and +4 in the rear.stock the zx10 would keep up if i could keep the tire on the ground(which never happened).like i said i bought the busa and i sold it to my buddy but he still own's me money so its still mine until he pays it off. which should be next month.i will buy another one soon. i was going sell the zx10 and buy a busa but i have one here for now.when i give up the title for the busa i will probably go buy one that day. i just wanted to be a little differant and thats why i got the zx10.

I have it on my car,and I have the kit for the bike, but its not on it yet, I'm not wanting to be without my bike for 2 days and I still need a couple of items to do it right,PC 3R, an a controller.

Dayum, I REALLY must be getting old. When I started riding there was no such thing as an RM 50. Matter of fact there was no such thing as an RM at all. My early racing days were on a TM75 Suzuki, complete with the finest deathtrap suspension available and a powerband about one millmeter wide. Early drag racing was on a built to the hilt RD 350 Yamaha. It proudly waxed a few KZ900's in a sprint, BTW. It's amazing how much bikes have improved in a short time. New riders today have it a lot easier starting out. Much better hardware out there - more refined. Look at all the new sportbikes. All very fast, all you have to do is come up with the cabbage. Used to have to actually BUILD a bike to make it anywhere close to as fast as most showroom bike today.

This is the deal......comparing that ZX-10R to a Busa is a joke...... Ok lets put in perspective. He is mostly talking about stock Busa's. I will admit, with 240 hp, he will probably beat a Busa. But its still a dumb comparison. If I took all the money he put into his 10R....$5K for example, and put it into my Busa, I could beat him without even streching it. All Motor!!! My opinion.

If you think that a stock wheelbase busa with ANY amount of motor mods is gonna beat a stretched sprayed ZX-10 in a 1/4 you have never drag raced a bike in your life. It will not happen. Top speed, or a 100mph roll on, sure. But from the hit, power is no use if you can't keep the front end down.
 
if im right the z was lower in the front on the first posted pic, the tripple was way down on the fork legs, now its not. i think he used the wood cause when it was lower the stock stand is way off....i might be wrong
