Will '09 Busa Address '08 Complaints?

Based on the list of complaints concerning the '08 Busa, listed in a thread in this section of the forum, (https://www.hayabusa.org/forums/?act=ST;f=77;t=86538), it appears that there are a number of issues that Busa owners would like to see addressed in the '09 Busa.

Does anyone have reason to believe that the 09 Busa will be manufactured to address any or all of these issues?

Nope. You don't like the 08, don't buy an 09!

Suzuki will most likely only make changes for safety reasons. The bike was just over-hauled. The Gen 1 Busa remained unchanged for 9 years, with the exception of safety related items (like the rear subframe).

Why change perfection?

Here is the post my question referred to:

I'll start it off by saying I love the new ride and really enjoy riding this thing. Now for the bad news my FI light keeps coming on when I throttle quickly to at least 6k rpm. The bike is bone stock and has less than 200 miles on it now (growing everyday). Anyone else experiencing this or something unique to their ride? Post them up here...

1. FI light keeps coming on
2. false neutral/shifting probs
3. Poor tire/tyre choice from the factory
4. fit up of fairing assemblies
5. Speedo issues
6. Faulty battery
7. bad headlight bulbs
8. Clutch hub and lines
9. Steering lock won't release

From the content of these issues it is evident that my question has nothing to do with not liking the 08 and even less to do with redesigning it.

The question is whether Suzuki will make small changes such as using better tires, improving fairing fit, correcting bad headlight bulbs and battery, addressing the false neutral shifting problem, etc. Suzuki did in fact make small improvements unrelated to safety, for example, between 04 and 05 the headlights were changed not to come on immediately on start-up.

Did anyone who responded above even look at the complaints referred to in the link provided before weighing in with heavy boots?

Well lets see... I don't have any of those issues on my 08... I wonder how many people really do... We have all read the complaints list... The fact is, everybody does not have the same issues and some of us do not have any!

i have alot of complaints about it the first is i dont have one so trade me yours and ill give you my 06 and then their should be no more complaints ooo come on lol J/K some else had the FI light come on but they fixed it i believe good luck though

I have none of the problems from above... Could be the way it was built out of the crate....

Since the original thread was posted back in Jan of 2008 , I am sure it has been discussed before. Usually on most new models there will be "Slight" glitches , That is why alot of people wait for the 2nd year of the new model change. Overall the Busa seems to be very reliable with little or no problems. Just gotta work the bugs out.

Items 2, 3, 5, and 6 are some complaints of the Gen 1 Busa.

Item 2, shift it like you mean it.  I've rode a 2008 and the tranny is WAY better than the Gen 1.

Item 3.  Come on, better tires.  I highly doubt you can ride to the limit of those tires.  Not trying to disrespect you.  What tires would you want?? Besides, you'll be on a new set of tires in a few thousand miles anyways, so who cares really...

Item 5.  They want the speedo error.

Item 6.  If every part of the bike was top of the line, it would cost $50,000.  If you want a better battery, buy an aftermarket one.

Item 4.  People didn't want frankenstein bolts, so this is the alternative.  I perfer the bolts myself.  But they can't make a bike that satisfies everyone.

As for Items 1,7, 8 and 9.  I highly doubt these are common problems.

I am waiting for the 09 or maybe even the 2010 to come out. I am one of those people that doesn't like to buy the first year of any new model. Love the look but will wait.

Havn't had one problem with mine, other than when I twist my right wrist, I find myself being thrust forward very rapidly.
