Wind noise is ruining my fun

A quiet rider really quiets things down, and keeps the cold air out in the winter.
It can make your face and head warm in summer though.
They are universal and fit any helmet.
I've had mine for about 10 years, but only use it in cold weather.

There is 3 different types of NOJ Quiet riders. The basic is a thin spandex type material, I use one all year round. The delux is a lil thicker spandex with a plastic backing, also has a zipper opening for air. The winter version is thicker yet and goes down your neck.

I suggest the basic model.....

Noise is caused from the wind hitting your helmet

From what I have noticed the bike is designed for the least drag when in the full tuck position. Don't know to many people who will ride like that all day, but if you get on the highway and put your chin on the tank you will feel little wind and less noise.. So when you are riding in the normal relaxed position the windscreen is actually deflecting the air right into the lid.. Not sure if even with a touring wind screen you will get enough deflection to what you would be happy with

If you haven't tried the touring screen I believe Tim at Pashnit.com sells them

Understandable that you get less noise on the other bike since the street fighter isn't designed to cut through the wind like the Busa. A stream of air isn't being intentionally directed over the nose of the bike

when a flatter surface or face is leading the way the air is diverted farther away from you

Did you try the little foam spacers that bring the speakers closer to your ears? That will bring the volume level up higher. I have no problem hearing the music with earplugs in.

But with turbulence and ear plugs, which I used to wear, I could not hear my music or talk with my friend via headset. I tried. I was looking for some screen that will push the wind wash over my helmet.

I do use the foam spacers and they do help. but 65+ and it's not enough. The cheaper side of me just ordered a new earbud mount for the Sena and bought some Klipsch buds. A whole lot cheaper than a new helmet and screen for now considering there is only a month or so of riding left.

For me the JVC Marshmallow's work very well. They have been the only ear buds so far that stay in my ears when putting on the helmet!! (and stay in)[/QUOTE\]
Same here.. Make sure you are installing them properly and they seal out the wind noise. I have to keep my volume at 3/4
They sound great!! Best of all I can focus better without the wind noise whistling inside my head... I adjust my music for the type of riding I am doing.
