Wind Powered LED lights

So have you tried anything else other than this to be seen.

They have pretty BRIGHT headlights available.

It's not the headlight brightness that is the problem. Simple fact. When motorist see ONE headlight coming at them in the dark, they have a hard time judging the speed of the vehicle. This accounts for so many accidents where cars turn left in front of oncoming motocycles. As was the case for me back in 2004. Some guy's poor depth preception caused me to spend 3 months in a hospital bed, and damn near killed me.
Anything I can do to let cars that can/will turn left in front of me know that I am in fact a motorcycle and not just a car in the distance with a headlight out, the better. It may not be cool, but it's not a matter of IF, but WHEN this may happen to any of you.
Bikes with running lights are easier to determine size, shape, speed at night.
It's just a fact. Why its not manditory for ALL bikes to have running lights is beyond me. And were you all not trained to use highbeams during the day? I see a lot of bikes running lows during the day. The Busa's headlight is not very visible during the day from a distance.

Are those velcro sneakers I see?
Geriatric
:snap:

 Yeah I know, I know. I feel the same way, BUT, have you ever had your laces caught in the shifter and when you approach a stop you can't put your foot down? Happened to me a few times, and I was damn lucky the bulk of the weight was leaning on the side that I could put my foot down. I usually wear my riding boots, but when I plan on doing a lot of walking at my destination (in this case, Bike Week) I wear the Geriatric sneaks. No laces.
EDIT: Forgot to mention I got those beauts after my accident. Ever try to put on a pair of shoes let alone TIE them with a shattered pelvis? I do continue to wear them ONLY when I ride and plan to do a lot of walking when I get where I'm going, since the boots are great for riding but not so much for walking. Pickins are slim for laceless tennis shoes. But thanks for making me feel old. I have a LOT of injuries to deal with.

I am an MSF RiderCoach and burning high beams during the day is not something we teach. I recommend a headlight modulator for day time use but full on high beams is not part of the course.

In Va it is supposed to be illegal to burn LEDs or other lights that light up the frame but I been unable to find the law that prohibits them.

Do they come in any other colors, Might look good tucked away fan out of site but color glowing from inside the fairing.

I took the course in Los Angeles and we we taught to ride with highbeams on during the day. In fact if memory serves correctly, it is even in the motorcycle riders handbook you have to study to get your motorcycle indorcement from the DMV. And here in Florida only certain colors are prohibited. Namely Blue as the police bikes here have blue neon lights on them.

I thank you for your service first of all. But no offense, our injuries seem to be different. Mine prohibited me from bending at the waist, thus making it impossible for me to put on and tie my shoes for months. These shoes were recommened by my doctor. (I could only walk with a walker at the time) And since my other "cooler" laceless tennis shoes were wore out and I could not find a replacement except these dorky velcro ones (and believe me, I looked) I had to get those. I can't believe I have to defend them. Wear whatever you want, why should I care?

Why not just put one of the led kits on the bike? If memory serves 58cycle.com has a bunch of diferent types as well as one of the sponsors here I would bet. I know you said you are not an electrician in one of your earlier posts, but if these "Faraday's principal of electromagnetic induction" lights don't seem to be what your after look into one of the kits. If noone else here that lives closer to you is willing to help bring your bike Georgia and I will help you put them on and if that doesn't work we can put some fog lights under the ferrings so low flying aircraft will see you.

I appreciate that. I did want to put some driving lights down low on the forks.

First i think its cool your trying out a new product and give us feed back on them.

I do have to disagree with running with your highbeams on. 3 reasons
1. it is illiegal to run highbeams within city limits, no matter what time of day (at least all the states i've been too).
2. All you end up doing is pissing off drivers--(which at that point, they don't care about you, if your running off the road)
3. Bright lights (even in the day time) are very blinding. I had friend who had his high's on going are a canyon corner. HE blinding the oncoming driver, and the driver hit him head on. The biker didnt' make it. Plus it was detemined he was at fault for having his brights on in oncoming traffic.

To me if your normal headlight isn't bright enough, just buy a new headlight. Or as mentioned up the page, use a blinking headlight mod. Those DO make your bike More visible by a long shot. I personally don't ride with anyone who uses their highbeam during the day. it has also blinded me through my mirrows when they are behind me. What good is a very bright light when you blind everyone who sees it?

Just my opinion though.

I know of a good rotating light you could mount on top of your helmet if you're that concerned about being seen.......

I had to sorry......

Im just pulling your chain man Im sure if I posted pics of my gear someone would find something funny as well. All in fun hope your getting your movement back.
