I honestly dont understand why someone would buy these things and never ride em??? You might as well put it up in your living room as a decoration piece.

just curious, my 2000 red and grey has only a K&n filter as towards any engine mod. While i do have a zero graviry double bubble clear screen on it and emgo mirrors, i still have the stock parts i can put back on. So the bike can be reverted back to totally stock. However she has 21,800ish miles on her. Always took care of and still runs smooth. Had a few busa riders come up and think this bike was brand new because they didn't recognize this color scheme. Their jaws drop when they find out the bike is 6 years old.

Just wondering how much $$$ she could pull in IF i did try and sell her this spring? Here's a pic of her taken early last year before windscreen and mirror mods. Never dropped btw.

To hell with anyone that laughs. Look carefully and she still has her warning stickers on the tank and inner panels.

(monster @ Jan. 03 2007,12:04) a 2000 Busa with 2000 miles - bone stock, not 1 single mod, adult owned & ridden, garage kept, and it's 20 miles from me.
Anyone want to give me the cash?  Brendan?

I have a horrible story to tell about a Busa I came across on ebay about 2-weeks ago.

2006, 400 miles, red/black... completly stock. The sellers opening price was $4000 with NO RESERVE! The seller is in my city and from the photos I not only recognize some signage in the background, but I also recognize the street. So, I drive by and there's the Busa in the driveway. I get out and check it out... it's mint. I get a greddy feeling inside my heart and think "I'm gonna snipe this Busa for cheap". I check the auction again the next day and there's 2-days left with no bids. Now I'm justifying in my mind buying and reselling this bike. So, I watch it the next day and still no bids. I set the ebay watch on my PC to remind me 2-hours before the auction ends and that day I end up busy and out of my house not near a PC. By the time I remember, I panic and call my wife to check. The auction has ended with NO FRIGGIN' BIDS! God in heaven I could'a had it for $4000!!!!!

I emailed the seller and he tells me he's happy that no one bid on the bike because he hadn't realized he set the starting price at $4000. He relisted it at $6000 and had bids 10-mins later... it sold for a bit over $8000.

I still hate myself

UPDATE: I just looked at the ended auction again and I lied... it had 260 miles

dang, thats bad george...could make couple of grand in no time...

I saw the bike you are referring too. I emailed the seller about the "cheap Price",never heard back.. Sounded like a scam. You never know... I would have bought to resell if it were close enough to inspect first.
