Are you wearing jeans and tennis shoes (only)??? Ever notice that in every crash with the rider wearing no motorcycle boots, his shoes get ripped off his feet?

Yeah, guilty. But since I was going to Bikeweek when that picture was taken, I'll pat myself on the back that I had a full face helmet, armored jacket, long pants and gloves on. 95% of the bikers going to bike week have thier helmets hooked to thier bikes, no jackets, and shorts. I would have my boots on, but I planned on doing a lot of walking when I got there and since my accident, I need some comfy shoes for walking as my back hurts like a beotch if I don't.
Anyway, after seeing this video, I might think twice about the boots when I go back to bikeweek in a couple of weeks.

Found this video which is one of the wrecks in the first video. The head-on between two bikes. Turns out BOTH died.

He was doing fine riding his ride, then his buddy (?) goes flying by him. You see him pick up the pace after that and try to keep up. I guess just riding above his level - a good lesson for me to remember to ride my ride.

Speaking as a lanesplitter, the second crash was exactly how I got hit about a year ago, but if you check the driver crossed a double yellow, so the rider is in the right. Lanesplittin gis very much legal here in the Golden state, and I feel 10x safer spliting than I do being in the lane waiting for some cager to rear end me.

This is one of those vid categories that we just know will always be available for view.. Every day it seems like more footage appears. The one at 1:22 on this vid freaked me out the most, the head-on..
