Wow, Check this out.

B.S, don't believe it. front tire thing killed it for me. Busawhipped scared the shitz out of me though!!!!! Thanks, had not been on STLAR site for a while and missed that one.

Bs disputes or not, incidents like this are why I ride so agressive on the road. Listen: I'll take it easy when i Can since i grew out of the "Have to prove something" attitude a long time ago but if theres one thing i've learned in my 8 years of riding, is that a Motorcycles offense is it's ONLY defense you have.

Ya A Gun for the biker most likely would have the cagers burning rubber out of there in fear, then again maybe not and you better be good and WILLING at shooting, know your laws good and have a Damn good firm behind you to take care of things. Especially if things go to civil court (another nice thing about the "Stand your ground" bill passed in michigan. If it's proven self defense, I believe your immune to civil suits). However, In situations where cages even BEGIN to act weird or agressive towards you, doing your best "GhostiRider" impersonation is your best defense on your sportbike.

I live in a crap hole ghetto and could have had potentially deadly encounters much worse then the ones mentioned....had i given the fools a chance to get close to me. Which is why i DO occasionally go out on some of my favorite roads at "low traffic" hours and practice going through these straights, curves , entrance and on ramps at fairly high speeds to keep myself prepped. I know some here may say "Oh nooooes Yuu Are Teh UbEr LAwBreakEr GivinG us A Bad NamE". Trust me in my experience, Knowing what my machine can do and how it feels on some of these routes (something you WON'T get from a trackday) I can testify to ending a road rage situation as soon as it started. I don't care if the suspects are in a 900rwhp supra. Unless we're on miles of straight road with no traffic, they're getting left behind wether they back off or crash trying to keep up. Period! Besides brutal acceleration, traffic and curves favors ME. If cops see us, they'll deal with the road rage cage or get left behind as well since i'm not stopping until i'm in the next zipcode and ALONE.

I just wanted to stop by and say thank you to those of you offering your support.

For those with their BS alarms going off, well, I don't much blame you. If I hadn't been there, hadn't been lucky enough to survive it, I'd be tempted to call BS too. I can tell you though, when you're unarmed and being shot at you only know one speed... wide open. I couldn't put enough distance between us and him fast enough.  BigmanZ has the right idea.

I'd never been so grateful to live in Florida, where they only make perfectly straight roads, as negotiating a turn wasn't going to happen.  Keeping the bike in a straight line was possible, but I would recommend it to anybody (unless, of course, stopping means certain death for you and your passenger). The turns I *did* survive were both at intersections, at about 3mph, with both feet on the ground, hoping that I could turn sharp enough not to head out into the weeds off the shoulder of the road.

Anyway, thank you again to those of you that offer your support and sympathy. It's tough when you barely survive a situation and are called a liar when you share your story, but that's the nature of the internet, I suppose.  I realize just being a screenname from another site, I lack credibility with anybody here, but hopefully some of the doubters come around.  If not, I've survived worse.

There was a story in a local paper here in south Florida last year about a guy that would get on the turnpike and haul ass a few times every week about the same time of day.
The state troopers decided to catch him. They had multiple cars and a helicopter. The guy was running over 150 and out ran the cops. The helicopter saw him disappear under some trees at a complex. The cops found his bike in his apartment with a front flat tire. They said he got the flat on the highway while trying to outrun them and kept going at high speeds with the flat.

So yes I believe fasternyou.

fasternyou how about telling the judge you have nightmares and wake up in a cold sweet.

If I ever woke up in a cold sweet I'd be like, "where the hell am I, and what's with all this ice cream, and what am I doing in the freezer?"

Hrmm, seems the trial has been moved to December...gotta love the criminal justice system.

Oh and seems Hayabusa.org got some notice with some of the posts.

If it was me I'd settle for a big pile of cash and then take some of those guys up on their offer to... take care of... the guy.

Yeah, I got my subpoena yesterday for December. Hopefully this date sticks. Been over 2 years and this guy is still as free as you and I, as if he'd done nothing wrong. I just hope he eventually has to suffer consequences for that night.

The defense lawyer will definitly work any 'family' angle he can to try and make you and the jury feel guilty for trying him. They'll also try to delay this as long as possible until you finally give up or they run out of reasons for delay. Just remember that he fired a gun at ya. If you back off, the next person might not be as lucky as you were. I do have to admit that I feel sorry for any family he does have, specially his wife. This must be horrifically hard on her....but the fact is he tried to kill three people and should have to face up to what he did.

There is nobody here doubting something went down between you and that guy. Buy unlike the lemmings on CF, most of us know there are two sides to every story and don't automatically believe everything we read posted on an internet message board. Things become even more difficult to believe when someone claims they rode (with a passanger no less) at "150+ mph" with a shot out front tire. Think maybe this is why even the AMA won't accept your story?

Seriously, you must have one of the run flat police issue motorcycle tires on your bike. For us Busa owners, the tire would have separated from the bead, then start to shred and finally end up jamming itself wherever it could...provided we could even get our "stretched chromed swingarms out of the 7-11 parking lot".

i dont know the truth but i would think its possible to go 150 on a flat front as long as you're not taking turns. ive seen rears blow out on motoGP at 180 with no problems. also like all bikes the speedo isnt accurate so if it was showing 150, he was prolly doing aroun 130 or so. maybe even less if he has bigger aftermarket sprockets.

So, don't believe me then. Doesn't change what happened that night in the least. Tell me, how fast would you go if someone were chasing you and shooting at you? And what difference does having a passenger make? It actually helped by decreasing the load on the front... surprised you didn't know that, being a self-proclaimed expert and all.

Thanks for your support.

Exactly, and those are due to TIRE FAILURE, mine was a hole in the rim. The tire actually was still pretty new when this happened, so it held up a ton better than one would've had it just blown out.

Thank you (no sarcasm in this one, lol) for believing me.

I'm certain they'll work that angle. I feel bad for her too, but our families weren't ready to lose us that night either. I hate that they may suffer, but his family should be given the same consideration he gave ours that night, in my opinion.

I certainly hope nobody else has to go through what we did that night... I still lose sleep over it and its been more than 2 years now.
