Wristy crashed

The latest....just for you @sixpack577 I didn't realize this guy served in uniform..

I actually watched some of that, fast forwarding through most...then I came to my senses and stopped, lol.
The 10 minute mark is great, on the Dragon, blows the corner, lucky for him nothing was coming, and got really close to a nice drop off into the woods, on a pull off on the other side of the road.
Not that I'm Mr.SuperRider by any stretch...but I don't have a Youtube channel claiming to be either.
@Bumblebee I thought surely you would've had some sort of training in your career to keep you from being sucked down these rabbit holes...and now you've got me following you down there!
lmao!

My training is paying off by having you follow me into the gates of hell.....or into these YouTube videos, whichever comes first....

THAT'S A TERRIBLE IDEA!!!!

what time?
Watching his videos is like going to the smash up derby....you know bad things can happen but are enjoying the show..

I really liked his one video that had a segment called "rate this riding" each and every one of his videos should have that segment....

The video where his R1 was crashed and burned should be a what not to do video for motorcycle riding training...

I think the order he has the bikes in(Bmw, Suzuki, Kawasaki, and Honda) is right for drag racing, we know it's all in the rider...but you know you can't Really beat Wristy now...come one.
Hahahaha!

I watched another video in which an SK1RR walked away from a Gen 3 during a roll race....the people in the video said they were both stock....something isn't right, a Gen 3 should have been right there with the S1KRR especially with the enhanced mid range

I still think it's in the ecu.
As the German and Italian bikes don't have the same amount of restrictions as the Japanese bike do(stock).
The S1k is also a rocket that beats the Gsxr, and the Busas of the past have always been close with the Gsxr through the 1/4, then the Busas start walking away.
I think with big weight from the Busa, along with what I'm betting is poor fueling at high rpm, is the real reason the S1k is beating it by so much.
I know we can't really call flashed bikes stock, but I'de like to see an otherwise stock run between them, with whatever a flash can pull out of both of them.

The gen 2 ECU was restricted but I didn't really notice a huge gain when it was flashed...but what was the gen 2? Euro 3 or 4..? Euro 5 restriction might be a whole other animal

Consider the gen3 has a cat in each muffler too.
People have already eliminated those and changed the air filters out...other than the ECU flash, the typical mods have been done and it's not a gigantic leap over the gen 2...

If the ECU flash doesn't produce a lot of power, then what? I still say the Gen 3 was made to be turbo'd but Suzuki chickened (or cheapened) out.

I agree
I wouldn't doubt that covid wrenched alot of their plans either.
Cams have shown to add quite a bit to the gsxr, so maybe the same will happen with the gen3(maybe add some up top).
Cams are more of an awkward in-frame job than difficult too, without a huge cost.
Maybe we could get some gains there.
I want all the power I can get from bolt-ons(full exhaust, flash, filter, velocity stacks, play with sprockets, and I wouldn't call cams bolt-ons), but, I do enjoy the more planted feel of a Busa vs a 1k(even though I love 1k's), so it's not going to hurt my feelings too bad if they pull a few lengths in a straight away.
But, it would be nice to see the Busa back at the top.
Regardless, I think it'll suit my needs.
Maybe one day I'll get to ride a turbo.
My friend who owns the 1k says a guy in his riding group has a 400+hp turbo Busa, and that if show him what I can do with this 1k...he'll let me ride it...come on summer time!

The Hayabusa as a stock bike had it's day and then some...and there are few stock Hayabusas out there...it doesn't take a whole lot to make it a potent beastie even with all it's access weight....

Gen 2 cams would give a different power curve but would take away the mid range somewhat..

I did a lot of research on my old oil burners as to what cams worked best...if I went all GSXR cams on my Bandit, I lost the mid range punch it had...so I sent to a GSXR exhaust cam to replace my intake cam, I gained around 10hp on top but kept my mid range. For a cow, that Bandit was pretty quick.

I didn't mess around with my '02 1K other than the usual bolt ons.
