WTF!!!

well when i got my busa i was 19 so what do you think insurance is going to tell
a 19yo with a busa... they told me $6k

My highest quote was from allstate on my R1 I used to have. They quoted me $6800.00 a year. After I quit laughing, I told the lady thanks, I needed a pick me up for the day. That was when I was in my mid 30s, no tickets/accidents, in a rural area. It varies so much from state to state and from one area of each state to another. I am now through allstate for my 06 busa. They quoted me around $900 a year, but I drop collision in the winter, which drops the actual price for a year to around $650. I shop rates for car/bike/home every year.

Hate to say it, but $13 is not that much especially you moved into a 4-bedroom house.  I know sometimes every Benjamin counts, but don't fret over that.
You are very right, I just thought since the Busa would be in a garage as oppose to out in the open it would work in my favor. The pros of this situation greatly outweigh the cons, I feel better; Thanks!
Do you feel sufficiently spanked?

Congrats on your new home, I just got a qoute from SF for 419 yr. on my future 08.

I'm 20, just got the bike in september, got a quote from one company for full coverage for $3000, progressive was treatin me like crap so I hung up on em, and nationwide wouldn't answer the phone. Everything my parents have is with state farm, so I gave them a call. Got full coverage including underinsured, and uninsured motor vehicle for $1200/year. One ticket on record. Oh, and the bike is an 06LE.

Congrats on the home and garage to stable your baby in...

Thanks! It is the very first time I've had a garage to store my bike or car for that manner, it is a great feeling. I'm trying to soak all the excitement in before the first mortgage payment is do!

Well this makes it sound like you bought a home. No more rent. New tax write-off, mortgage interest & possibly some of the closing costs. Your gonna make out in the long run, big time. Congrats

have you guys checked State Farm, I have always paid about $20 a month, full coverage, no medical. The key is medical, if you have good medical at work, not a problem.
08 Busa about $25 a month.

I don't have medical on my bike insurance. I have it good at work, and my insurance is still $120/month

Some discounts, not anything you could not get. Mostly age, location, no accidents, low miles per year..... I think age and location are a big factor, have everything insured through SF, home cars and motorcycles. I have lost track of the years when i started with them, some where around 25 years ago... getting old.......they may feel sorry for an old guy on a busa...

That's crazy #'s. How old are you guys? I'm 26 and my full coverage is 360/year with S.F.
NO DOUBT! I'M 33 AND MINE IS LIKE 260/YR FULL COVERAGE WITH LOWEST DEDUCTIBLE POSSIBLE

NO WRECKS KNOCK ON WOOD

NO TICKETS YET KNOCK ON WOOD
It must be something about IL and how much ride time you get. I am with S F and I pay 93 bucks a month for full coverage. They only get about 4 months of good riding in IL. My brother-n-laws insurance was cheaper when he was in Indianapolis and went up when he moved back to texas.
