I just finished installing the Yosh Stainless steel Duplex with Carbon fiber muffler. I know i must have screwed up somewhere, the bike just overheated (I never had this problem before). It seems that the fan is not turning on. When i jump the temp switch itkicks on. Any clues on where to start. BTW- The pipe sounds sweet it isnt as loud as i thought it would be though( I had the race only duplex on my 92 1100). - Gixxer

It sounds as though you may have damaged the connector. Verify current is passing
through both wires to both parts of it.

The sensor is a simple thermo switch like most automotive types. It should close contacts and conduct at about 105 degrees celcius.

If the fans come on when you short a wire "jumper" accross its contacts, it seems that the switch is not contacting and is faulty.

Are you sure the bike is getting to that temp?? It has to be pretty hot before they come on...

Did you Bleed the air from the cooling system after refilling it? There should be a bleeder screw next to the thermostat housing. Air pockets will keep the fan sensor from seeing enough heat to close, and you may not have gotten the system full also! :-) Brian
