it is. the brightness is about the same as my buddies 08 zx10r if that helps. it has about the perfect brightmess for me

this was my first, but if you wanted someone to do it all, i would get with gixxerHP (john) he buys his leds in bulk and does the conversions all the time. hes most likely better at it than me. if he cant then i might be able to source up the time.

I did it this week as part of the winter improvement program I absolutely lobe it i think everyone should get rid of the aweful orange. Be waurned you need to remove the lcd display which is a bit painful and be careful when pulling the needles off the guage not to scratch. put tissue below and use 3 spoons to pry them off. The lcd display is tricky to get back in though well worth it. If your not good at solder dont even attempt it, its a lot of work and very small

i did mine as well. at least i assised a friend of mine with them. he is better with the soldering. he had already completed his 07 cbr1000, and his fiance's 07 cbr600. he actually did his in white and then went back and used some of my extra blue leds to have a dual look on the cbr. turned out real nice. i must say all three bikes look much better. it was tedious but worth it.

no i nevered remove gauge paint. it's pretty straight foward. just a little time and effort. i've been doing gauge lighting for others for years. As for the LCD part it's a little more effort with just a regular soldering sucker but, if you got a soldering station with a electronic solder pump it's really easy and super clean. i use a large tip on my soldering station and it will suck even the DSM LED right off the board without having to remove them manually. any way guage lighting is great and simple and cheap.

I posted some step by step instructions alittle while ago. Unfortuneately I cant' find the post......it can be tedious, but with the CORRECT tools and a steady hand.....it should take you about 2 hrs. The hardest thing about doing this is getting the 26 pins from the LCD out and back in. Be careful when desoldering this pins not to dig into the board as there is microwire around the holes!
