This thread has become so freakin serious it's hilarious :rofl::rofl:

Sorry, my advice is to take a step back, and if we still dont like one another in the morning.......perhaps we can at least be civil with our communication:please:

Don't put words in his mouth, he didn' say that he was going to call the NSA.... He simply stated that with those opinions his security clearance could be in jeopardy, poorly worded maybe but no ill intentions were intended.

The thing of it is, no one has to call NSA, trust me when I say big brother is watching.

not much happens on the internet that the NSA doesnt know about. It is just like phone monitoring. it happens. But when you are the entity doing the monitoring you have to choose what you act upon and what you let slide.

These days you just have to assume that if a thought leaves your brain either verbally or in some other form, there is a chance someone will find out and if it has to do with current government policy's their is a high probability someone will find out.

Yes I know mispelled:whistle:

That is the most ridiculous post we have had here so far. ???
It just goes to show your perspective about these people.

You know nothing of my perspective about "these" people. And if you didn't get my post then I can't break it down any simpler for you.

Cap. I respect and appreciate your work on org. Your political, religious and social values are different than mine but we have also something in commom. We all love to ride. I understand your fear and frusturation on illegal immigration issue. You worked all your life, sometimes harder than next guy. You have successed instilling your values to your children and seems to be they are also there way to following the suit.

What if, you didn't have the oppoetunity to work as a dishwasher when you were a kid? What if you couldn't find any job and now you are an adult? Not a single person will hire you since everyone around you are same or the worse condition than you. Your parents are dying because they can afford the most commom medicine. Your brothers and sisters are hungry and looks at you with certain contempt since you are the oldest among you and you are completely incapable. You want to work on a farm, but after working your body, your are worse than before. Exploitation, corruption, and apathy create an environmrnt you can not endure.

You will follow the star and head north. You will sell your last drop of blood to make that journey of an opportunity. Not only for yourself, but for your family, your pride, your willingness to sacrify.

Cap. You keep mentioning how they should pay into our system. How they should abide the law of this country; how they should be on the poth to the legal citizenship. I agree with you completely. So do THEY. They want opportunities to join your society. So they also can be a difnified and accomplished father just like you. So they can also raise their children just like hard working and honest kids just like yours.

You better slow down(spread them 40 out) because apocolypse isnt until 2012 (I have my sources)

What was the name of the cat and mouse that hit each other over the head in the Simpsons series?

There is no need to go into gray areas on this issue.

It is really very simple.

Our laws state that coming into this country without legal permission and going through the correct channels and procedures is a felony. if you commit this felony you are a criminal in the United States.

It is not up to individuals to determine what laws we should abide by and which laws we do not have to abide by. we have to abide by all the laws.

It really doesn’t get any simpler than that. All the drama everyone is spouting about the poor people entering this country just to make a better life for themselves is irrelevant. The fact is it is illegal. Anyone coming into the United States illegally should be prosecuted and sent packing.

What I do not understand Dino is how you can work for the federal government and so willingly ignore federal law?

What other federal laws do you choose to ignore because they do not suit you? I hope you do not have a security clearance because it could be in jeopardy

Thrasher -

Not agreeing with particular laws does not equate to breaking them or even not respecting them. I don't agree with asking 18 year olds to go off and fight in a war while denying them the pleasure of returning home to enjoy a beer. But I am not going to go buy beer for under age kids.

However there have been many acts of civil disobedience that have led to great progress in this country. Try googling "Rosa Parks" for an excellent example of an individual who decided to break a particular law and in doing so started an profound chain of events.

If you look even harder you might even find other instances when it took courageous individuals breaking the law to affect great change. Try googling "Boston Tea Party" or maybe "Declaration of Independence" do you realize that every signatory was committing treason when they signed that document.

Better yet use the Bible Gateway link in your signature and see if there might be instance where Jesus broke the law. I’ll bet you can find some.

My point is by your rational we would never have progress in this country. Many laws are good intentioned but just plain wrong and we have a wonderful system for changing them in a legal and peaceful way. Doing so or even engaging in discussion is in no way disloyal or unpatriotic. In fact I would say exercising the process for changing unjust laws is probably the most patriotic thing a person can do.

So let me add one little blurb here...

There isn't anything wrong with opinions, we all have them and we all should hold true to our convictions. I don't think any less of Dino this morning than I did yesterday. Our discussion going back and forth can be healthy, you never know he may sway my opinion about the situation. Conversations about tough subjects can get out of hand. I think that as long as we converse and not belittle others to prove our point then discussing them is Okay.

Dino, I still consider you a friend and your points are well taken but it doesnt sway our friendship in any way.....

Make no mistake folks we all won't agree all the time it is perfectly fine to disagree with the next guy but dont make personal attacks doing it....

I love this country....

and Dino.........

thank you for serving this country and doing what you have done. I had no intention of minnimizing your service for our freedom!

That goes for all the military service folks out there... nothing can trump the thankfullness I have for your protection for my family.

cap

I am in agreement here too...I have no ill will toward Cap in any way, nor do I think any less of him. I think discussion is healthy and necessary for progress in a free society. If we all agreed on everything it would be boring and everyone would have a Black Busa because well....It is the fastest color. :beerchug:

Try to keep up with this:

It takes a particularly negative view of a group of people, call it a bias, to correlate the act of killing a person with the plight of the undocumented immigrant.

Bias: an unfair preference for or dislike of something

Correlate: transitive and intransitive verb to have a mutual or complementary relationship, or show that two or more things such as a cause and an effect have a mutual or complementary relationship

You are still trying to put everything into a gray area and blur the issues. Its been said a few times in this thread since you posted this so I won't go into it in depth again. You keep promoting that its OK to break the law to get ahead as long as you can show you have been oppressed, and anyone that doesn't agree with you is either a bigott or a Natzi.

And becasue you can copy paste from a Wiki or dictionary doesn't mean you understand it.

No, you don't understand.. Everybody that disagrees with me is just WRONG!
