I know it won't help you, but I keep my insurance card, and registration in the hump. I almost never carry my wallet when riding, just some cash, credit card, and DL in my front pocket.

Skaz, the insurance and D/L are fix it. Just go to a CHP office and they will check them and sign off. Sometimes there is a fee, small. On the ticket, I have a guy that will get it done, period. Either gone or reduced. I was drag racing and he got me off with a $55.00 fee. Pm me for the info. He is very reasonable.

I know that there is almost no moving violation under $250.00 here in Cali.

Checked that and he wanted 1200 up to but not including the trial. Realistically i have to pay 384 + 50 + School fees. so looking at about 500 total.

So i finally get caught speeding by the CHP. 90 in a 70.... forgot my wallet and the leo added no insurance or DL. and he didn't believe my story that i have an OOS liscense and have been in cali for about 3 weeks....

the other 2 will get thrown out put im kinda nervous about the cost of the speeding ticket. i guess ill slow down now.

This marks the 1st speeding ticket i have gotten on my bike. Im sure it wont be the last.

My first speeding ticket on a bike ever.....going triple digits...coming off huge suspension bridge in Texas...past a state trooper stopped at a cross T intersection. Wrote me a ticket for 105 in a 70. could not take defensive drinving. 300 bucks. if he had clocked me I would have gone to jail.....I know I know.....but bridge was empty and It was a blue bird day .....was trying to get the cobwebs off the Busa. She flys so well.....

but i was speeding. no excuse on my end, so i feel compelled to not argue it.

It doesn't matter, fight it until the end. It's all a scam to get revenue for the city anyway so since you are paying you may as well keep it off your record.

You can either pay for a lawyer to fight it and be done. Or pay the ticket and insurance rate increase for the next SEVERAL years.

Some states if the LEO doesn't show, they will throw it out. If you've got everything else covered, a lawyer will take care of you...

I got an 82 in a 55 just outside of Santee a few years ago. I took an online traffic safety course and paid a fine and the ticket disappeared.

I took the online course also but here in VA tickets will stay on your record for 3 years no matter what. I also got this book online
