  Don't forget the dual cupholders.

Personally I hope Suzuki Rests on their Laurels...  Doesn't do anything.  That way I can buy the New Blackbird without any sort of hestation...

Whats the hub-bub about the blackbird? They supposed to increase the engine size again or something?

Don't you think it'll be another zx-12? You really think someone can make something that can beat the busa with all the restrictions the motorcycle companies are self-imposing on themselves because the public is scared about 200 mph bikes?

BTW...
Rev man, I guess everyone has had more sex than you.

I think you should use the part where he bends over and you can see some pink as your avatar. That would be good.
The Hub-Bub is that Mr. Honda cannot stand NOT being the fastest on the tracks or the streets. Something Honda allways got excited about was their high top speeds. Combine this with a need to recoupe development costs for the V-5 Racing program, along with the Blackbirds freakin antiquity status has folks thinking that Honda wil be putting a V-5 on the streets in 2005, and it should be a runner.

180-190 HP, HyperSport... Ready to rock in 2006... They might even flaunt the 186MPH restriction. Otherwise I'd expect it to be restricted but like the Busa, something that's not too hard to get around.

We'll see, it makes sense in a way for Honda to do this, been awhile since they have had ANY bike really capture the press and Public.

Rumors flying about a Honda Blackbird-esque V-5 Busa killer for 06. I hear it too is built mostly of unobtainium.

I'm gonna speculate here and say that maybe Suzuki plans on taking the hyper bike class by storm again as they did in 99 and just unveil it when 06 late 05 gets here.Lets face it,they are in business to make money, and if the sales plummit which they havent, they will have to do something. Its a catch 22, it takes billions to retool for an assembly line, they might think why fix something that isn't broken?I dont know how sales are there in the U.S., but here, the bikes are lucky to make to the show room floor!!!!

This topic will be posted more and more as September 05 gets closer.

Look at the picture from 2 sides of the coin.

It would make no sense to redesign the busa from Suzukis standpoint. We sell every Busa we can get in our showroom. We have gotten 3 so far and everyone of them were presold. We just got one in this week that is now on the showroom.

Until a worthy oppenent arrives, ie the V-5 Blackbird, I personally dont think there will be a major change to the current bike. There might be some upgrades. I think radial mounted brakes will make their way to the beloved busa in the near future. Suzuki is putting them on nearly every sportbike in their lineup, one more would only make sense.

For the rider view, its been a long haul since 1999 and maybe we are ready for something new. With the top speed wars over, the major focus will be placed on acceleration and handling. In September 05 we will know for sure......

I could see Suzuki doing a small makeover on the Busa. Such as redoing the bodywork here&there, going to a 4into1 system to save weight, Radial front brakes, different tailight, a lighter frame&swingarm, better FI and maybe a 100cc increase.

I think the changes will be minor.

My dealer in Denver told me 05 was last year and ^ model was more tour and less sport... Sorry if its true but lucky us, we have ours

long live the busa... they should never face it out (Except maybe if they do it out of titanium and put a turbo on it)
