OBAMA

According to their 2007 tax returns, the Obamas reported income of $4,238,165, largely from the sale of Barack Obama's two books, paid $1,396,772 in federal taxes and contributed $240,370 to charity.

MCCAIN

John McCain's 2007 tax returns showed $405,409 in income, $84,460 in federal taxes paid and $105,467 contributed to charity.

Obama pays about 32.96% of his income in taxes and has contributions of 5.7% of his income; McCain in the 20.83% tax rate, and contributes 26% of his income.

Yet Obama wants to tell me that he can relate to the working middle class person? He only gives less than 6% of his income to charity. McCain has a much better argument for that, and he gives over 1/4 of his income to charity.

I am taking it for what it is worth, it is just numbers. But, I think it says a lot.

How can someone afford 7 houses and only make 400K? Gee maybe it is because he is married filing seperate income tax. What is their combined incomes? How does the same analysis pan out when you look at it that way?

Wonder how much of the "charity" goes to his first wife, Carol (Shepp) McCain, from Philadelphia? After all, it's just numbers ... and it says a lot.
