Okay, I have a week to get some seat time on the R6 before I attempt any NC roads. We've planned to ride at least 2x week for the past 2 weeks, but the weather has been very uncooperative.

So, today, the first day with riding weather, we rode the only "twisty" road in 200 miles. We rode more than 100 miles today and Dan gave me some great pointers on making my left turns better. I still want to get a few more rides in before we leave on the 19th, but I feel that I'm going to be fine.

Thanks so much to Dan for putting along behind me at much lower speeds that he'd like. And to Mike (00BusaTX) for hanging back there, too. I don't know that I'll ever be able to keep up with you guys on one of your "spirited" rides, but I promise I will get better!

I had to cancel the trip anyway. The kids have a state conference to go to and my wife "reminded me" that weekend is our 21st anniversary.
