I was dreaming of the New hypothetical 2010 S Model Busa.

Ohlins Suspension
Brake upgrades up through levers
Light weight wheels
some factory carbon goodies
further tweaking of motor for another say 10hp plus
factory traction control

Price: say around 17-20 K:

Think they could sell a limited run of the S Model??

I would like to see them change the Mode selection switch on the right grip to a trip meter selection. Honestly how many times have you wanted to see your trip mileage and real mileage on the fly as opposed to changing between A, B or C on the fly, I have never even considered changing the mode at all and would think if I had to, I would know far in advance enough to change it at start up.

They would maybe do a GSXR special edition like this, similar to the R1 that Yamaha did, but a Busa is different. It's not really advertised or sold with any real emphasis on track performance, that's what the GSXR line is for. The Busa does just fine for what it's meant for, if you really want it to perform on a track, maybe you need to add a liter bike to your stable. The Busa is not a repli racer, it's a street bike.

Personally, I'd rather do my own mods to make it my own, not have the factory do the mods they think I would like. They may not know me as well as I know me.

factory traction control with override switch--No charge
Buyers choice of gearing--No charge
Buyers choice of seat--No charge
Buyers choice of pipe--No charge
New "Unobtainium", maintenence free, no lube, no adjustment chain--No charge
New Blubber-Rubber, Zero-Wear, Cat-On-Carpet grip tires--No charge

Price: say around 1.7-2.0 K:

I think they could sell an unlimited run of the S Model!! (but they wont cause they're only available to Org members...)

i think a 220hp speed freak version of the busa would do better than a corner carver's busa.
