Then Hwy 1 Leggett Section back inland, crisscrossing the Coast Range several times. The 22-mile Leggett section of Hwy 1 is likely one of twistiest roads in the state. Often deserted, it's a true joy to ride.
We're in the Central Sierra just south of Yosemite, these granite domes are indicative of this area of the Sierra Nevada, the most famous being Half Dome in Yosemite Valley. To the immediate south is Sequoia NP, and one of these granite domes, Morro Rock, you can walk up to the top, very cool.
Mile High Vista looking down on Mammoth Pool Reservoir. Other side of that range is Nevada.
