JohnnyB, you are right on the money. Did you see the Cycle World article a few months back about the Extreme Bikes performance shootout? The Hahn Racecraft GSXR-1100 (normally aspirated) won with a top speed of 224 mph, with relatively crappy aerodynamics, and an 8.9 (or 8.6?) quarter. The Hahn bike was tweaked pretty far, although the test rider rode it to the track on the freeway before the session. The Hayabusa, with better aerodynamics and greater displacement, should be able to reach 217 with relatively minor modification. Think about it...isn't that incredible? Just make sure your drive chain and tires are up to it.
