4 SEC. 1/4\'S

JohnnyB, you are right on the money. Did you see the Cycle World article a few months back about the Extreme Bikes performance shootout? The Hahn Racecraft GSXR-1100 (normally aspirated) won with a top speed of 224 mph, with relatively crappy aerodynamics, and an 8.9 (or 8.6?) quarter. The Hahn bike was tweaked pretty far, although the test rider rode it to the track on the freeway before the session. The Hayabusa, with better aerodynamics and greater displacement, should be able to reach 217 with relatively minor modification. Think about it...isn't that incredible? Just make sure your drive chain and tires are up to it.

Hann Race Craft, is a TURBO bike. but a TURBO on the Busa...can you say 300 + HP. and over 220 mph....very possible

The way the 4sec 1/4mi was measured is that they had set up 2 timers 1/4 mile apart and measured the time it took the bike to clear both of them at top speed and based on this time they have calculated the top speed to be at 217MPH.
