A few [no doubt] trivial questions.

Guys outlaw is joking!!!
He's posted videos of himself I believe wheelying all the way down a drag strip.
That was you wasnt it?

And Sixpack577 our resident geriatric wheely king has posted vods of himself walking that dog for quite a ways.

So chillax :)

:laugh::laugh::laugh:

I was hoping to get at least a days worth out of it,

Safety shmafety!

You know Sixpack you remind me of my wife.
She often says 'I'm not jealous, I just don't like it'

You say
'to show it can be done, not to show off'

Same thing both they are old padawan.

Nice stuff, Sixpack! I haven't ever gotten the balls to surf on my bike, lol. I am definitely going to find it hard to resist wheelies after seeing that, though. That was a stock 'Busa, right?

Some more n00b questions for the .oRg!

Last night I removed all of the plastic from my bike. Last year I was in a minor lowside accident in an intersection, and am just now getting around to fixing the aesthetic damage. Anyway, it took me about two hours of reading the manual, consulting with a couple of videos, and gentle prodding to remove them. When I lowsided it, I just scuffed the plastics; no cracking anywhere. The dealer took it apart after the accident, checked it over for me, and slapped a new MVI on it.

I'm thinking of painting it, which I can get done for $600. A local guy paints hot rods here and said he'd have no problem doing the entire bike a glossy black, including the tank. That price includes the paint. However, a few of the plastic tabs on the side cowling are snapped. The big one on the bottom (of which there are three), and where the black plastic that runs alongside the gauges meets the side cowling, there are two small tabs snapped off there. So, my question is, can they be repaired well? The guy told me over the phone as long as I have the clips, (which I don't, they're long gone I'd imagine,) he could use some adhesive to fix them with no issues. Since I don't have them, I'm assuming I'm S.O.L.

Now, if I don't paint it, I've been perusing BikeBandit.com, since I've ordered some smaller stuff from them before which has gotten here without issue. I am looking at buying OEM front, left, and right cowling, as well as the ignition cover, and some R-77 slip-ons. Is this a good site to buy from, or is there one that's closer to Canada with cheaper prices?

I think that's it for now... thanks. ;3

If you still have the tabs they should be able to be repaired, I have done repairs before on extra plastics using fiberglass resin and gel but I've seen some extremely strong repairs done by a body shop. i just don't know what the stuff is they used, it came in a large tube and was evidently commercial grade.

Without those tabs though, I'd have a hard time seeing one being repaired with any strength...don't know what you could make a tab from with enough strength to hold firm.
