A question for you donating folks

Personally i dont see why it should matter the way people dontate. If its by a once a year or once amonth donation/allotment. People should understand though that if they choose a monthly allotment that they shouldnt start to feel as if they should be treated any differently or be extended any special favors just because they dontate regularly though. Everyones pocket book and or ability to donate is different. Why not have a few different ways to dontate unless it becomes more of a pain to keep up with who is donating when and how...

Tell me where to sign up, cause alot of the time I forget to donate and if it is auto then I don't have to worry about getting things like that taken care of.

This way I can spend more time chatting with everyone on line here on the board.

What I like about the Fire-N-Forget donation method is that I don't have to THINK about it.  I don't have to try and remember, and $5 a month will add up nicely at the end of the year. So it's something that I'd like to do cause it's ONE less thing to try and remember.

Only other thing I'd like is to make the donations 100% discoverable.  Have a thread with an active counter, or a link showing expenses and donations!  That would be cool, what would be even better is if we can get enough going to hire someone to manage the .org as a full time job!!!!

I'm for it. I love coming here since getting my bike. LOADS of info! Great people to BS with and it has saved me alot of money already. The info I have gotten here I never would have gotten elsewhere, never. I am sure I would of picked up bits and pieces here and there but not all under one roof easy to find. I am all for it. negative on the aplus hosting.... There are only a couple of folks that know where I work and I try to keep it that way.... Its not a general hosting service for just anyone to sign up for. I can tell you that they are all ecommerce site and no they are not porn !!!

BigGeorge I have read my previous post a couple of time and if I came across the wrong way I did not mean to. There is A LOT of traffic on the site and I have lived it for the past 7 years. When we started out I had a DSL account at home, then I got a T1 then two T1's and when we saturated that bandwidth I had to do something and we moved to a dedicated server, we have upgraded 2 times previously and we are on our third level now. The new server does have dual XEON procs and we are at a point where RAID is an absolute must when you are talking about as much data as we have here. When I hosted at home I had two compaq dl360 1U servers I ran as mail and FTP and two Compaq 6500 Fibre channel servers with quad procs running redundant systems..... System admin was easy schmeeezy then, now to have all of that on a hosted system runs in the thousands a month.... I have compromised in some areas (videos and chat) the videos were being watched by folks that had nothing to do with the site or board and the chat was very seldom used..... the member map was introduced and belive it or not we only had about 100 folks upload their pics to the gallery so it wasnt well received, I have placed my attention on other feature areas that I am getting feedback on... The is a long long history on the site of request from members, the problem lies with the fact that when I put the map up I had to beg to get 20 people to use it... To be honest I didnt know it was even down because I havent had a single complaint..............

I will get it working....
