Well this is a fine mess! Took Coco over to meet her cousin tiny. All went well. Went inside to relax.
Coco slips and falls off the couch! Broken leg most likely from the way she's yelping :(

Un Fn believable :banghead:

Waiting on X-ray results now. Don't know who's crying more?

Left rear leg is broken in lower portion. Basically what is out shin bone.
Broke with fragments. If they can splint it we are talking hundreds. If surgery is required than its going to be thousands which I don't have.

Times like this yes we sit back and ask why take on responsibility without having ability to counter for the worst. Ignorance is bliss until now.

Don't know what I'm gonna do

I had a pug pug 9weeks old when she broke her paw. I dont remember how much it cost but I know it wasn't cheap.

Hope she heals up quickly! Most Vets will let you make payments. She is going to be clumbsy for awhile until she grows into those BIG paws.

what is ur alternative? they have payment plans. sux I agree but what else can u do? if its only a splint thats not really a big deal but surgery is expensive for sure. been there done that. even with xrays and splint I cant see it being less then a g-note tho.

Looked at all options?? may/ maybe not but is there a university for DMV's near by? Some vets are not in it just to make $$ , I'd check around.. DR. Marks near plant city Fl. is there for the animals not just to get his years wages from 1 person.. Check around Blanca..

You are going to cough up the money and fix the dogs leg. You will be tormented for a very long time if you don't!

I had a 7 month old toy poodle that did the same thing some 20 years ago. I was playing with him on the bed when he was launched off the bed, hit the floor funny and broke his front leg. Both bones between the ankle and knee. He had to go see a specialist in the big city to put a titanium plate in his leg. Cost $2200 and that was 20 years ago. I never regretted one dime. That dog ended up being my very best friend for 17 years.

Do whatever you have to do to fix your mut. Your sanity depends on it! :please:

Sorry to hear about this.

I think in your heart you know what to do.
Got to find some way to pay.
These things happen in life.

Had to pay out over £350 twice for two of my cats.

They wound up putting a cast on her leg. On the way to get her now.

PocketRocket if it was anything else I may be able to check around but with a dog that has a broken leg in need of immediate attn what am I supposed to do? I took her to a new animal emergency hospital which really looks like a real hospital. Full staff 24/7. First place that popped into my mind. I spoke to a surgeon. She assured me that due to her age she will heal quite quickly and not notice or remember this months from now. Just wonder of the dr can give me something to make me not remember her $600 bill

Anyone wanna come sign her cast?

Can you get animal insurance in the States we have it here and it only costs around $3 a week.

I can only  on this. Only had her two weeks. Not even been to first follow up visit.
Haven't really had time to think or shop for it. Rest assured I certainly will though.

Well crap! $577 later here she is.
