Almost pulled the trigger on a concours

.... but I came to my senses and decided to stick with my one and only. Have to find a way to take me lady on long hauls (even short ones).

Before I type anything else, I must say that this site's pretty awesome. I just never got to posting anything here before since I found most of the info I was looking for ( throughout the past year) on mods, issues etc... which I must say again is pretty friggin' A .


I'm ordering the buell peg kit from Joe (GSX1300R-T), and might be looking at either Gel or Tobin right now. I'm most likely going for the Tobin (front and rear) and get a backrest for the missus' on long hauls.

Just thought I'd pop my cherry on here today ..........

Oh yes ... since folks are bound to ask, I ride a black and red 2010.

When I read your thread title I thought I may find a concours friend.

I bought a concours and it should arrive tomorrow. Hopefully pick it up by the weekend. I've wanted one for the past three years since I rode one that belong to a friend who is on his second one. I wanted to get some touring in this season for sure so I finally made the plunge.

You can't go wrong with your busa but I'm getting old and feable and need a soft gently ride for long hauls.

I'll be sure to post up so you'll know what you are missing.

Thx to all for the warm welcome.

I can't find any decent pics . The only ones I can find are with the monstrous cans after picking it up from the dealer.

I'll need to take a few closeups soon. I'll post them up before this weekend when we have a few sunny days. For now the ones that I could find were taken from a trip to Renovo, PA. I ran into a couple of fellow canucks, who gave me pointers on routes to take, through a local motorcycle forum a few days before the trip. Never really expected to cross paths.

When I read your thread title I thought I may find a concours friend.

Saw my neighbours and thought I'd like to get one. But in the end just couldn't come to letting the busa go. At least this was I get to have fun in the twisties and commuting while compromising (just a bit) on long hauls.

The concours is a sweet ride though. Let me know how it goes!!

My ealier post (with a few pics) seems to be taking some time to get approved by the mods, so that will have to wait I guess.
