And its happening - Gen 3 teaser from Suzuki

Accordingly to a few rumors, the msrp will be way above the 15.000 mark. More likely 19.800 or so.
We can buy a new 2020 here for around $15k Cdn so a gen 3 would be more most likely but nearer to $18k Cdn I'm thinking..

If it is to compete with an H2 (which it most likely is) it will be over $20k Cdn

The creep towards Friday begins. I think the clock is slow, man.

The H2 that gets beat by stock liter bikes? It will have to be better than that or I won't get one.
I say this because the ZX14R was replaced by the H2 platform..

Which stock liter bikes are able to walk away from an H2? I have no real time experience on any of the new liter bikes or an H2 so I don't know.

Everything I've watched has the H2 on top.

but litre bikes corner way better than H2 they are at least 70 lbs heavier
....and liter corner way better than a Hayabusa or ZX14R but when it comes to the type of performance we enjoy with our Hayabusas aren't the H2s on top?

I can't see a gen 3 Hayabusa being capable of out handling a liter bike, hopefully it can out run them...

11,000rpm redline suggests a big-bore engine. A boosted 1000cc should rev higher than that.

As for these gauges being computer generated, it doesn't look like it. The needles are riding on centre buttons like a normal analogue gauge, plus the clear triangles on the gauge face look like physical things. The numbers however could very well be projected.

I'm so glad we have something to ponder and talk about again. Thank you Suzuki, this is just what 2021 needed!

The 14 is still a current 2021 model, has not been replaced as of yet

I've heard no official announcement that the ZX-14R will be going out of production, at least not in the US. If the 2021 busa goes up to a 1440 cc engine, that will be a reason to not only keep the ZX-14 in the game but to increase it's power.

Some of the early H2 v liter bikes videos were less than impressive with H2 getting beat by or barely winning against the S1000r and other liter bikes making about 200 hp. Going by the stock hp numbers, it's not surprising. How does a supercharged bike make only 5-10 more hp than a NA bike with the same size engine? Of course, if you're going to mod, the sky is the limit. My feeling is you shouldn't need to mod a supercharged bike so it can beat an NA bike especially if the supercharged bike is already 75 lbs heavier and 10-15 thousand dollars more expensive. They shouldn't even be in the same league stock v stock.

Hopefully the new Hayabusa will challenge it.

I wonder if Kawasaki will have a gen 3 ZX something or other ready to go just to be vindictive....
Given what the projects must cost I doubt if vengeance is a factor. The gen 2 ZX is a great machine hardly in need of an update. My hat is off to Suzuki if indeed there is a new Busa. I take it as thanks for all us loyal fans, as there probably won't be a huge market for a hyper sports touring bike. Probably not build to order but I'd think somewhat limited supply. I think that to split hairs and figure out which one is better is overthinking it. Looks and brand loyalty I think will be the main factors, and in my way biased opinion the Busa is what I want to see in my garage when I open the door.
