actually change your oil every 3k miles or so. if you are switching to syn then it ranges between 3k-10k depending on who you ask. Most will probably say wait till the engine is "seated" (3k-10k).. I'm sure someone else will have something else to say lololol

Living in Canada , the Petro Canada 5w-40 Synthetic would be a nice , low cost choice . Esso 0w-40 real PAO Synthetic is another .
It's " Petro Canada " a glorified highly refined group III dino but better than any synthetic blend you'll run across IMO and probably costs less to boot .
Oil change intervals will be determined largely on how the bike is used though .
