Anybody ever seen this?

It looks like brake/clutch fluid to me. Check all your connections and levels.
I was just thinking of all the chemicals in a bike.........Brake fluid was last on the list.    Now that REDMOTO mentioned it......I must agree.  ITS BRAKE FLUID!!!!

Good job REDMOTO1

I have,I make custom bike body parts and do some custom painting and plastic repair. I have only seen that on areas where brake fluid or clutch fluid has found its way onto a painted surface and was able to sit there awhile. The bad thing is it seems to soak into the abs plastic and causes it to become very brittle, eventually causing it to not just crack but to shatter into little sharp pieces similiar to a broken car windshield. It simply dissentagrates. If you see this happen you can also confirm it is chemical by the fact it will leave the broken edges of the plastic shinny, wet looking. If it cracks from stress it leaves it white.Hope this helps

Welcome to the board redmoto1 and txfjon

Thanks for the input. your inputs seem to make the most sense. I did not even think about break fluid either. But that would seem more likely than battery acid..

I forgot to mention that sometimes high octane gas can cause this but a quick little sniff will determine if it is gas.Either way I am affraid chaces are you are going to loss some paint.Good luck.

Thanks for your input guys. I checked all fittings and connections and everything is tight and dry. Maybe i ran over something. It just hurts to see ya baby damaged and not know what happened. I'm still gonna take it to the dealers and see what they say.

I know what that may be. pull the fairing off and there are two drain tubes behind your fairing. You need to extend them about three inches or so that way they are coming out behind your fairing. Those are the overflow tubes from your gas tank and something else. I think that will stop it.

one is certanly overflow from gasolintank and the other should? be overflow from battery and when the battery boils over it makes it happen......just thinking possibilities....I thought that should do the damage and leaves no other marks but damage in the fairing....

Both the tubes are related to the gas tank system (cap well drain and vent) and gas would not do that, IMO. It definitely looks like brake fluid to me.

Bingo. I looked behind that panel and right where the damage starts there is a hose coming from the gas tank. Now, I guess that means that at some time I over filled the tank but i've never seen gas make paint bubble like that.

HELL YEAH YOU CAN. It happened to me and warranty took care of it all. What is that hose for?

Sorry dude I just read upstairs. Hose from gas tank. Hmm. Don't know if gas would do that but if it was acid from your bat suk would fix it.They did for me.

...that's good You find the answer to Your question...certainly there will be fight of that issue....I mean You fill the tank over...sorry dude no offens...let us know how it went....

I just noticed the same thing on my '05 red.  Same side same spot.  I had the dealer look at it.  He seriously said that it was because I don't clean my bike often enough.  He was supposed to call Suzuki to see if they will cover it.  That was two days ago, and I haven't heard from him since.  Let me know how it works out.

it looks like whatever comes out of those tubes ends up on the hot exhaust. Thinking back, I had some gas spill into the "well" around the fill hole. Leaving the gas station I smell something burning. It went away and I didn't think anything of it. If gas wouldn't bubble paint, could burning gas do it. If so, I think that is about the last place I would vent the tank to.

Thank God for this board. I have the same busa and I went to take a look because fear took over me but everything was fine. Now after every fill up or ride I will be checking that spot and everything else. I hope you guys get your bikes fixed. There is nothing worse than having a new bike and shid like that happening. Good luck.

Ok, I give.. what are we looking at?

To me it looks like the paint is blistering.

Also looks like some kind of damage caused by liquid.

I would take the fairing off and see if there is anything on the inside. That looks like it might be just below where the battery is. Check to see if something has happened to the battery and see if it looks like that mihgt be caused by battery acid.

That is the only thing that comes to mind
+2

Yep, I've read more than once on here where the battery wasn't properly charged during pre-delivery, causing acid to boil over and ruin everything in it's path. What a bummer, you might need a new chain, swingarm, plastics, whatever it touched if acid is what caused it.
