Anybody ever seen this?

The stealership ordered my new fairings last week hoping they'll get them in soon as I am itching to ride. I will let you all know what they do for a fix if anything. If they don't lengthen the hoses I will post a parts list of what and where I get the stuff.

Hey everyone. New guy here. My 05 busa blue/silver bought it in oct 05 doing the same thing. It is just discolored now. Kinda brown lookin streak. I know dam dealership will be hard to deal with.

Hi guys sorry I didn't get back sooner. Suzuki replaced the damaged parts and as a fix they had the dealership tie the hoses up higher and coming out the side rather than straight down. I don't agree with the fix but who am I to argue with the great minds that put the overflow hoses there in the first place. I haven't done anything to fix it yet but I plan to get on it after the long weekend.

OK also READ THIS BEFORE COMMENTING!!!
This is a fuel overflow tube problem stop with all other diagnosis. If it isn't happening to your feel lucky if it is take it in they will fix it. Oh and be very careful to not fill the bike to full just it doesn't do it again.

I was just goin to say looks like gas.

I just read a few more post.. If this is actually gas causing this because of over filling. I wouldn't think the dealership would offer to have the plastic fixed. The manual says be careful not to over fill the gas tank. But that is just me. I always fill to the bottom of the neck. That gives the gas room to expand when hot.

Thats where I fill mine too, but somehow it got to over the top wheather it was from expansion or dribbled when I filled it on the top side inside the tank no matter what the cause it is fuel and Suzuki fixed it. Probably because alot of us have had the problem. I owned a Kawasaki 750 Ninja before and it has the same warnings so I was well aware of the possible problems, which are more emissions related then beware of paint peeling do to overfilling. I'm sure everyone knows not to fill the tank till it runs out.LOL Also it seems it is only those of us with 05s having the problem.

I am suprised they are fixing this. If it is from the overflow then that is clearly the owners fault for overfilling the tank.

ok,so i just bought my first busa(not first bike) its an '06 but already has 1900 miles.long story short, the battery blew up and the acid tarnished the swing arm big time.would the dealer be responsible for that?by the way my battery was the sealed type.???
