Anybody Using Yoshimura R-55?

RB ................ bet you were not to happy about that dog  that cocked it's leg on your cam while you were gone ?

I have the r-77 on my gen II and I love the way it sounds and looks. I took the removable baffle out of it since it only changes the loudness by 3 decibals.

here's a 160kph flyby. if any police see this and want to punish me, i only did it because they all done it. i did twat getting it in to second gear.

I'm quite unsure which I find more infinitely sad: that you don't have a mate that could have held the camera for you, or that you appear unable to change into second gear without sticking in neutral!

I've been looking at this system for some time, but don't personally know anyone who has it. Does anybody here have any experience with it? If so what are your thoughts? Also, if anybody could provide a video of it going down the road, that'd be great!

Thanks

I picked up one of these a couple weeks back and it SOUNDS AWESOME!!! It was used for a few months. I got it for $500 and $112 more for the install. Saving the CASH up for the PCIII now.

Good deal, glad you like it. :beerchug:

I know what you mean about going back and forth about these things... I have no idea if the pipes are the same as the R-77, but it looks like you can buy just the R-55 canister as a replacement part.

From Yoshi's website:

1121086-RMA
Stainless R-55 Muffler with Stainless, Laser-Etched Endcap
08-09 GSX-1300R Hayabusa
$440.00

Edit:

I sometimes click faster than I read...

Good news, Munchie!

"The R-55 comes as a Slip-on style muffler, attaching simply onto the OEM (stock) exhaust mounting slip-fit – or on our various full Yoshimura exhaust systems."

I guess you can just buy it from the parts section and use it with your current pipes. That's how it sounds anyway.

Hey CB...meant to thank you for digging up the slip-on info!

Guess I should've specified that the TiForce system was what I was refering to :beerchug:

I also checked em out while I was rolling options...

I was all over the place with what I was actually going to get... It just happened that when I got ready to order, I was in the mood for this... :beerchug:
