Are we law abiding riders?

Are we law abiding riders? Yes....of course !!:whistle: Sitting here with my fingers crossed.

S^&T happens, sometimes you have to do things you normally don't do to save your azz.

I have only ran once a long time ago. Back when I was single and didn't have a care in the world. Now that I have a family, wouldn't do it. Usually cruise the speed limit or 5- 10 above. What's the point of being out for the enjoyment of two wheels to go that fast and get where your going faster. I have owned the mistress for about 6 months now and hit 100 once. I don't have a problem playing some while your out as long as your careful. The fun is getting to certain speeds, but getting there and staying there is where it starts to get more dangerous. Just my thoughts on it.

i had a "friend" who ran through about 3 jurisdictions on the interstate and hwy.

like midnight, few cars on the road but mostly just cops on the roads.

Remember the thread that some lurker sent to a MI LEO and got the guy busted? Yeah, I do. I ride the speed limit each and every time I'm on street.:beerchug:

Trust me, I've wanted to do more, but when I get the urge, the wife and kids come to mind and the wrist loosens back up.

No kids here and the wife has me well insured, so I can't say I have the same restraint.

I have a friend who always drives the speed limit. Then one day he realized that if the speed limit is good, then twice the limit is twice as much goodness! 9 out of 10 times this friend of mine gets on the bike, triple digits are going to be seen. Yes, even commuting to work.

:poke: See that on-ramp? That's what we call a launch pad

For some reason he only does triple digits for sustained periods when in the appropriate places.

See that on-ramp? That's what we call a launch pad

+1. Love to twist the wrist on the on ramp to see how fast I can get up to freewayish speeds.

Of course, sometimes I overshoot my mark and have to back off a little once I reach the freeway.

But really most of the time you your doing just a few clicks over and the lights start flashing. I would just pull over. Ive been there and had a few other friends been there done that, and most of the time the cop is so glad you just pulled over he will give you a warning.

That's how I do it, when people pull over right away, a warning usually follows. they make it easy on me, I make it easy on their wallet. Just never ask "what's the problem" Have hands in plan site and a license and insurance out.
